Chapter 49: Hero's Entrance

The morning arrived as I opened my laptop and checked the news about my enemies. Inside the Scintervale City prison cell, I saw Mr. Lagman pacing back and forth, his mind seemingly racing with disbelief and confusion.

"I can't believe this is happening," he muttered, his voice tinged with frustration. "Porfirio and I have been friends for decades. He wouldn't betray me like this."

Until his expression changed into something else, as if realization dawned on him. "The Technological Park... is it because of that Technological Park? Hahaha... so that's how it is?"

He looked around and then at the prison guard before laughing again into a somewhat crazy laugh. "Hahaha, that man abandoned our friendship just because of that project, after all the things we've been through, I can't imagine he would put me into this jail!"

His expression suddenly turned serious, then a few moments later, he began to cry.
