Chapter 140: Our First Night

Sarah's POV:

I wasn't going to let Tasha ruin my mood, so I smiled at the kid and asked, "What's your name?"

"John"

"Do..." I was saying when Lara walked to us.

"I think it's time for the couples to leave for their honeymoon; Jacob must have persevered through all the events," Lara teased.

I didn't want to go on a honeymoon. Just me and Jacob alone, and as newlywed couples, I don't think I was ready.

"Do you want to go now?" he asked, and I looked around. Tasha kept staring at me, and it was uncomfortable. "Hm," I nodded.

He held my hand as we walked to his parents. "We will leave now."

"When you are back, let's talk about your son. It's a big deal," his mom muttered.

"He is not confirmed to be my son."

"I pray he is," she added. Was she supposed to say that in front of me?

"You both should go then," his dad swiftly said. We walked to the Tyler's, who smiled at us.
