Disbelief washed over him. How did the little mortal manage to consume this fruit without batting an eyelid? For the very first time, a semblance of awe and admiration arose in the seraphim's heart. Then, as seconds ticked by, he quickly adapted to the tartness, enough to savor the hint of sweetness that lingered on the tip of his tongue. Once again, he was taken aback. Was this what humans called 'complex layers of taste'? The little strawberry might scare people with its sourness at first, but gradually, the sweet flavor would dominate, striking a perfect and delicate balance that tickled the taste buds.

It was quite an unforgettable taste.
