Despite his doubts, Shen Wenchen didn't voice his questions in front of everyone.
He had been in correspondence with Nanzhi. She had told him that the restaurant business was doing well and she had even bought back a few good people.
Maybe that person was one of them.
"Be careful." Shen Wenchen loosened his grip on Shen Miaomiao's collar and leaned down to Nanzhi's face.
"Nannan, are you alright?"
Nanzhi's face reddened slightly. She merely nudged him gently and whispered, "Move aside, let me see Miaomiao."
Shen Wenchen felt slightly sore inside, but as Shen Miaomiao was his benefactor, he didn't say anything and obediently stood behind Nanzhi.
"Miaomiao, were you hurt earlier?" Nanzhi asked with concern, patting the girl's hand gently.
"I'm fine." Shen Miaomiao shook her head, she had been facing away from the carriage and had no idea what happened. Only after reacting did she feel a bit shaken.
Nanzhi didn't ask further, she just held her hand a little tighter.
