Chapter 143: Rare Party

"Yes, Even I want to know that. Why did you not attend enough social gatherings?" Lady Herberth asked in an eager voice. Eve knew that this woman wanted something from her when she felt her eagerness, but it was still in her favor.

"I was busy handling accounts and training as an heir. I realize it was my foolishness to believe that social gatherings only waste time and I do not need friends because it's a lazy act." it was her heartfelt thoughts. In the start, she had felt bad for not attending parties because she could not meet new people.

But with time, she liked the way it was. Because whenever she attended a party, it was awfully boring. And with time, she felt it was a waste of time. Since she did not enjoy gossiping about others and most of the time, did not understand their words or their joy in discussing clothes for hours. 

With time she had ignored the meager amount of invitations, her mother had improved.
