Chapter 178: A Long and Arduous Road

"You know," the other man started hesitantly, while his mind worked at a furious pace, choosing words that he hoped would not offend the kid. He knew what a touchy situation this is. It reeked.

"You don't have to keep everything bottled up. You've been through a lot these past few months. Don't get me wrong. You're… Very mature for your age… But everyone needs someone to talk to, right? No matter how shitty of a situation we are in. Everyone needs someone. You get me?"

It took more than a moment for Taiga to absorb those kind words, as his mind was still polluted over the malicious chaos that had just occurred prior. 

Affirming that he heard his Beta, the young Alpha nodded his head slowly.

"I… I guess I'll try…" Taiga mumbled. He was unsure on what would be an appropriate response to that.
