Chapter 93: To bring down Suzy's name

Chris slumped on the lounge across from Liam and Thomas. Peter handed him a glass of alcohol, but Chris refused it.

"Seriously, Chris? Did you stop drinking, or is it because of your wife?" Peter asked in a teasing tone, glancing at Liam and Thomas, who were smirking at Chris.

"Last day you two seemed to be having a great time. You looked quite happy, Chris. Your photo with Suzy has become a viral sensation all over the internet. Have you two finally fallen in love?" Liam asked, bringing his glass close to his mouth with a knowing grin.

Chris just smiled at Liam's words and picked up a glass of plain water. His three friends immediately started hooting and teasing him.

"Will you three just stop?" Chris said, chuckling. "A lot has happened in such a short time." It was still unbelievable for him; he and Suzy were now a real couple. He no longer despised her, and the thought brought a genuine smile to his face.
