Chapter 30: 030 Eating at a restaurant

After leaving the Herbal Shop, Lucy Sullivan dragged Samuel Smithson to buy some olive oil. However, olive oil was expensive, so she only bought a little and settled for a large amount of cheaper palm oil instead.

The taste of palm oil wasn't good, and not many people bought it, so its price was very low. This suited Lucy's intentions perfectly.

She could use the palm oil to make soap, and since olive oil was more expensive and had better effects, it could be used for making skin care products, which would definitely be sold at higher prices. She figured she would need to find a way to sell them eventually.

The salesclerk stared at Samuel when he saw Lucy asking for so much palm oil, hoping that this simple farmer could stop his spendthrift wife somehow.

But Samuel seemed not to notice and, although curious, didn't try to stop her from buying so much palm oil.
