"Agg" Zaden woke up and as expected he was in pain at first he was confused until he remembered what happened.
'That bastard' Zaden thought as he looked at his surroundings, where the hell was he the last thing he remembers is...fuck he was at Cardan's house. Moving his eyes around he caught a sleeping Cardan laying next to his bathroom door. He was fast asleep and looked peaceful and calm.
Laying back on the makeshift bed, Zaden felt guilty and was grateful at the same time. It also looks like he'd have to tell Cardan about who caused his injuries which would lead to his past, something he wasn't comfortable sharing with him as of yet in addition he also had a feeling that Cardan was hiding something.
He didn't bother asking since he had his own secrets as well and if he was ready he would tell him the same as him.
But if one thing was for sure he would get revenge, maybe not now because 'they' had a powerful backer but he would get his revenge for now he would set down like a quiet little lamb.
"You're awake ahhhh-hhaaaaaa" Cardan yawned after he had woken up due to his now worse sleeping posture. Zaden turned to him his eyes having an eerie cold image.
"...Keuhm I am and-thanks" Zaden murmured his voice soft.
"Why are you even saying thanks, we're brothers are we not."Cardan waved his hand lazily at him as he stood up to check at the time,it was two am in the morning and as soon as he saw the time Cardan wanted to go back to sleep.
Making his way to the makeshift bed he entered the blanket which caused Zaden to flinch in surprise, but he recovered quickly and turned his eyes back to the roof.
"What happened?" Cardan asked after an overlonged silence.
"You wanna tell me why you live alone" Zaden returned.
Cardan was momentary surprised at his words but it quickly just as disappeared "Hehehehe touché yet not smart ,especially considering how hurt you are and how easily I can torture answers out of you"
"You can try-ouch what was that for" Zaden said as his hand moved to his ribs, damn it had been too long since he had experienced this type of pain.
"Payback" Cardan replied lazily as he began closing his eyes to sleep. Zade was surprised at his words.
"How petty" Zaden said his voice sounding a bit irritated.
"...I'll tell you one day" Zaden added, Cardan didn't need to know what he meant.
As if remembering something Zaden quickly asked "My parents, what did you tell them"
"Just that we were studying together for debate and you ended up staying over.Just go to sleep...oh and you owe me airtime" Cardan quickly said before shutting Zaden with his hand as he fell asleep soundly.
Zaden felt like biting his hand and tiring his flesh but alas his moral compass stopped him from doing so not including the fact that Cardan would begin calling him a dog...
Anyway maybe his moral compass was the reason why those guys were still roaming around the streets with no injuries inflicted by him.
A silent laugh of mockery left his lips so much so that he nearly cried, he was really glad that Cardan wasn't awake to see him right now.
Although the small town had felt bad for what had happened to him he couldn't forget in fact it hunted him to this day how he was able to sleep was still a shock to him.
He too decided to follow Cardan and go to sleep to at least try to calm his racing mind and heart after all it worked all the time plus it was said those who sleep their souls leave their body and return in the morning maybe he'll be lucky enough to not wake up...or not and the day would somehow turn out great...it did for the most part especially since Cardan arrived. Closing his eyes he couldn't help
but think fate was the reason they met.
Unbeknownst to him Cardan was awake the entire time and he wasn't happy, not at all. Cardan was the kind of guy to get revenge on those who hurt him and the people that he cared about, he was petty like that. First he'd have to find out what had really happened.
