Chapter 1225: Served the same food

"You… hadn't reached the finish line, did you?"

The wind blew at them gently, relaying his quiet remarks to her ears. 

Ivy pursed her lips as her breath turned jagged. She wanted to answer him, but she knew the moment she opened her mouth, tears would also start flowing. 

Not long ago, Dominic gave her a phone so she could communicate with Tiger. 

Tiger called a few times, but she didn't answer. All she did was stare at the phone, listening to the rings. When he probably got her message, he stopped trying. Or perhaps he was forced to because he had to go to the battlefield. 

Either way, Ivy was very stubborn, and she knew that. She also knew she might regret not answering all those calls. But she didn't want everything to end in a phone call. She didn't want to have her last memory with him on a call.
