Chapter 210: Immortal Entities

'Looks like I won't be able to talk to my sister tonight,' Mineah regretfully mused as she watched Xenia and her husband excuse themselves to their guests. Queen Mother Savannah, on the other hand, went ahead and escorted Mineah and her family to their respective chambers for the night. 

Navigating the hallways silently, Nikolai walked with her all the way to the door of their bedchamber before he finally broke the silence. 

"Mine," he called to her from behind. With her door opened, Mineah turned to look at him. "I have to go back. Call me through the bond whenever you feel like going home already," he plainly said before he then quickly turned his back on her and walked away.

Mineah frowned at what just happened. She didn't know how long she stood there staring at Nikolai's retreating back, but by the time she realized what she was doing, the hallway was already empty except for her still standing there like a pole.
