Chapter 122: The Woman Disappeared

Mary yawned as she opened her eyes. The room felt unfamiliar. It took her a minute to realize she had shifted to the royal palace.

Sitting on the bed, she stared at the two newly hired maids.

"Are you appointed to serve me?" The maid bowed, noticing her movements.

"Yes, my lady. My name is Mila and her name is June. We will serve you starting today. If you have any issues, please contact us." Mary stood up and walked towards the window as she nodded her head.

The place was completely silent. It was different from Cassian's palace where one could hear knights training from early morning.

She had never imagined that one day she would miss that place.

"Would Alec be disappointed that I left?" she sighed as the laughing image of the child filled her mind.
