In her desperate attempt to save herself, she forgot she had hurt Cassian an hour ago. Or she was sure that he would have calmed down and given in.
A blood stained shirt lying on the floor caught her attention as she hurriedly entered the room.
She hesitated for a second but then took a deep breath and looked at him.
"Why are you resting here? Come, I will take you to the physician. What if the scratch gets infected without treatment?" There was a slight hint of irritation in her voice but no guilt or worry. He took his gaze away.
"Do not be angry, Ian! I did not want to hurt you. I do not understand why you came in between? She was the one at fault! Yet..." she paused when she felt his cold glare at her again.
"Anyway, your treatment is more critical. So, come with me." She extended her hands but he did not move an inch.
In the end, she felt embarrassed and took her hands back.
