Nathaniel resisted the urge to smile as he continued to drive himself and Maya to their date. 

She was so adorable when she tried to hide the truth. 

Maya may have thought he didn't suspect a thing, but he knew.

He'd known since he saw his mother's car in her office and his heart couldn't help but swell at the effort she and his mother had placed into making him happy.

But despite the love he felt from them, he couldn't help but worry at the same time.

They were some of the most important people in his life and them risking their lives this way made him anxious.
