Chapter 195: Evidence

When Clark returned with Sarah, Nathaniel was in a much better mood. 

For some reason that conversation with Jay and Maya made him feel better despite the difficult topic.

"We go it!" Clark proudly announced.

"And you weren't followed?" Nathaniel carefully asked, this time turning to his head of security who always stood by the door when Nathaniel was entertaining guests.

"They weren't, sir," the tall well-built man said.

"Good," he praised. Nathaniel had no doubt that his people would always be a step ahead of the enemy, but slip-ups could happen, they were all only human after all.

They all gathered around the dining table that now had been cleared. Only Sarah and Clark's plates remained since they hadn't eaten yet.

"Eat," Nathaniel gestured to the two returnees as Clark handed him the documents. "I'll read through this while you eat."

Clark and Sarah nodded as they found their places on the table.
