Chapter 39: Not Too Different

As Lux and Jones were close to each other, the crew wasn't idle either; they quickly got to their positions and prepared to execute their Captain's orders.

"Let's go, you vermin! The last one to fire at that guy; his mother is a Luminous Centipede hoe!"

Hearing the insulting words of their own friend, the pirates tried their best to access the weapons room and give Lux hell.

Chaos ensued as the pirates even trampled on each other to be the first to shoot Lux; some even went as far as pulling their companions' clothes to slow them down.

As this happened, Lux and Jones finally made contact with each other.

'Blackburn' was Jones's title, one that fit him extremely well thanks to the black flames that gathered at his fingertips before being released like a cannonball towards Lux.

'Let's see how you dodge that.' Jones was curious about Lux's ability, since the latter didn't show too much about it during his fight with Oscar.
