Chapter 11: 11. Trashy Gray...

In a wide-open meadow, straws of green grass sway with the brilliant flow of the wind, flowers of different colors sprouting out from their buds. To the left of the meadow was a bell-shaped mountain, and to the right side was a clear, clean-flowing stream, and the light from the sun glistened upon the surface of the water.

Reuel stood in the middle of all the beauty and marveled at the sight. Also confused as to how and why he was there. There was a certain ambience in the air, it was soothing than even the most pleasant spring air.

And as the gratifying wind flowed, the grasses turned their heads towards him, and the flowers opened their mouths to him, almost as if they bowed in acknowledgment of his presence.

"R_e_u_e_l" It was a melodious whisper. Like a bunch of people whispering at the same time from a very far distance, but the meadow was lengthy and wide and he saw no one. Only the trees, the mountains, the water, the butterflies, the valley lilies, and the radiant roses.

"R_e_u_e_l," the whisper came again, and he could feel it, from the trees, the mountains, and from the dewdrop at the edge of the leaves, and even the wind, he could hear his name resonate from them.

"R_e_u_e_l," He heard it again, and he could almost feel it this time. It was unimaginable, but he could almost feel the sound. It seemed implausible, but, the place was calling out to him. The place was calling his name, it was insane, but he could sense more than hear it that the whole place echoed his name.

"Reuel, Reuel... You..."

*RING*RING*RING*

The sound of his alarm pulled him out of his sleep and into reality. "This dammed thing," he hisses as he turns off the alarm.

"Urgh!!" He groaned frustratingly, his head buried into his pillow. He knew sleep was gone now, thanks to the unnecessary alarm which he had forgotten to turn off yesterday.

"At least it's a nice day," He chortles as he lazily stares at the white curtains by the window, the blowing of the cool breeze made them flutter back, and forth, and sideways *R_e_u_e_l* the image flashed through his eyes, the green grass, and clean water, and butterflies. It all flashed through his eyes.

"That's right," he looks at Helfer sitting in his glass cubicle like a king iguana. "I had a dream." He states, blinking, wondering what that dream was all about since he wasn't one to ever remember his dreams.

"I had too much wine last night." He giggles into his pillow.

...

"Can you believe this woman? She is the worst professor ever!" Roxanne prattles as they walked out of the lecture room. "I mean, if she doesn't want to give us some notes on the course, she should just say so. Why make us do research on the whole course and write a fifty-page exposition on it, I mean who does that??"

"Just calm down Roxy, it's not like we can go beat her up for this. And besides, look on the bright side." Erina cheerfully says, also wondering if she was the one people were staring at.

"What bright side??" Roxanne turns, looking at Erina like she was out of her mind.

"We only have to write tests and don't get to write a final exam on this course. The exposition will be the substitute for our exam." She explains as two girls passed by them, and she could swear they were pointing at her. Or was she just being paranoid?

"You talk like you don't know this woman. Professor Hexe isn't someone to make things so easy for us. I'm sure the test would be worse than an exam."

"Well, now that you put it that way, I can see it. We're so screwed." Erina agrees.

Doing the exposition wasn't the problem. For most courses, you could just copy and paste what you need, thanks to the makers of the internet. But for Professor Hexe, you wouldn't dare do it. Except you wish to spend an extra year just for one course.

Because no matter how good and perfect you are at copying, cutting, pasting, joining, and editing altogether, She was bound to find out.

It was almost insane how she could get you every single time, it was like there wasn't a book or internet article she hadn't read, so she always knew from where and what page you copied. And you get an automatic zero.

Students had failed and carried over her course on multiple occasions for this same reason, and it earned her the title 'Witch of Black-Crust.'

So this is what makes the whole assignment harder. Because you'd have to personally make your own research, while working with the guidelines she gives.

"Let's go grab something to eat, I'm starving," Roxy says while pulling Erina by the arm.

"But I won't eat much, I promised him I'd go out with him for lunch today." She sheepishly says.

"Him? You mean the boss boss? The guy you're dating now?" Roxy says, and Erina'a face beams a bright crimson. Yes, it's been two weeks since she agreed to be his girlfriend... She knew this because she was literally counting the days, as every one felt like a dream to her.

"You know, it feels like you almost never say his name. Why?" Roxy asks as they turn and walk down some stairs.

"I don't know, I'm sure I've said his name sometimes, maybe you just didn't..." She suddenly broke off, and Roxy could see her face instantly lose its colour as she stared out with a horrifying look on her face.

The books she held slipped out of her trembling hands, and her lungs suddenly couldn't drag in air again. Tears instantly welled up in her eyes as she looked all around the hall, and pictures of herself hung on every corner of the wall.

Pictures she never even knew existed, pictures of her topless and in the arms of the guy she once called her boyfriend, pictures of her breasts in his mouth, pictures that should never be seen by anyone, but were now in the open for everyone to see.

"Oh No, you didn't!!! You shitty piece of rag." Roxy bolted towards the walls, tearing down the posters in rage. And in a corner of the hall stood the brown-haired young man, looking like he had everything and everyone in the world underneath his feet. His new girlfriend standing next to him like a trophy.

"How could you do this Gray??" Roxy yelled into the face of the man, who was busy chewing gum in a rather irritable manner as she went on to pull down more posters.

"Whoa! Erina!! I must say, I didn't expect them to be that big." One guy says.

"You shut your damn mouth, Tom!!" Roxy roared from where she stood, while Erina just stood there quivering, wishing the earth beneath her feet would just crack open and pull her into its depths and out of this humiliation.

"oh tell me about it, Tom, I mean who would have thought something this thick and juicy would be hidden under all these sweaters."

"Trust me, Jimmy, they are as juicy as they look." The guy named Gray finally spoke and it only irritated Roxanne more.

"You piece of trash!!" Roxy fumes, and without much thought in her head, using her bag as a bowling ball straight for his pretty face, she successfully lands a flesh-tearing blow on his head.

His nose wrinkled, and his brows narrowed with anger as his fingers trailed his forehead, and he could feel his own blood dripping, "B*tch!! How dare you?!" His trophy girlfriend yells, taking fighting steps towards Roxy, but is sent crashing backward as Roxy lands a heavy slap on her face.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?" Gray angrily rushes towards her, hands high up in the air to strike her...

"Alright, that's enough show for one day!!!" one security guy comes in with a whistle like a referee. And Roxy could only wonder where in the world he was when all these posters were being plastered all over the walls in the first place.

"You ARE, a worthless piece of garbage! And I'm reporting this to the Dean first thing tomorrow morning" Roxy says into his face, in fact, she wanted to run into the Dean's office and drag him here to see this whole nonsense, and make him pay for the sexual, mental and emotional abuse he's done, but she knew she needed to get Erina out of there first.

"Let's go, Erina." She helps her pack up her books and leads her out.
