Chapter 35: I Hear You, I See You

A shiver ran down the male wolf's spine. He knew he had to answer the question carefully. Archer explained as best he could. He was careful with the rumors that they overheard, making inferences on how Safira likely felt and the things she did.

The more he spoke, the more agitated Damien got. He curled his fists so tightly his knuckles were turning white. Diana was shocked too. She knew most wolves were careful with what they said when they were around her.

Just because Safira was not officially one of them and due to the mysterious circumstances of her appearance in the pack, everyone had their own opinion of her. When Archer finished, silence hung in the air once more.

"Is that all of it?" Damien asked, trying hard to contain his emotions.

Anger and rage were consuming his thoughts. He wanted to punish those who were gossiping about his mate. He wanted each and every one of them to apologize to Safira for the cruel things they said about her.
