Chapter 33: Missing

Her hands were shaking. Archer carefully undid the wrappings she had on. Blood had soaked through them and the layers at the bottom were stuck to her skin. She winced as Archer removed them, revealing that her skin was torn.

"Alpha Damien is going to kill me," Archer mused as he threw the bloodied wrappings to the side and led Safira to the bench on the side.

He sat her down as he began to treat her wounds. The alcohol he used to clean her wounds made her wince. It was the only change in her expression.

"He won't kill you," she replied in a whisper, "Not when you're doing this good a job of treating my stupid self-inflicted wounds."

She just had to find an outlet to release her emotions. She was not about to shed any tears, she had made that promise to herself a long time ago. How she wished Greyson was still here with her.

A part of her wished Diana was here too. But ultimately, Safira knew. She had to rely on herself.
