Chapter 58: Invitation

"No. I do not like anyone" Rain answered, sinking back to her work.

Elliot frowned. He wanted to ask more but stopped himself. He did not know why he was so angry. He knew that he was infatuated with her but that was it. He did not understand why he was having such strong reactions.

After that the office turned silent except that Elliot would steal a glance at her every now and then. He finally felt his heart at ease when he found her before her eyes every now and then. That's why Elliot assigned her some more work after she was done with the one at hand.

In the evening, Rain finished her work and decided to leave as the work hours had ended long ago. She did not notice the time when she was working as she had a strange sense of comfort today. Like someone was soothing her heart with some magical powers.
