Chapter 204: Impending

"Two years ago, the Magi gathered all the pretty men and women in the lower cities and brought them up to their branches. Last year, they requested for a thousand children, to aid them in their experiments. This year, there's talks of them gathering all the craftsmen for something. We don't know what it is, but likely, it's not something good.

"Those people that they've taken up there, we've never heard from them ever again. Not even their bodies were found."

Onyx sighed, defeatedly and tiredly. Then, as if realizing just who he was talking to, he quickly added.

"I heard it's better in the Sovereignty. At least, the nobles there don't kill their citizens for no good reason."
