"Nyx!"

Screech!

A colossal phoenix covered the darkened skies. The snow melted as the flames of Nine Heavens surrounded the group of beastmen. Releasing her aura as an ancient sacred beast, the wyverns and wraiths immediately retreated to the darkest corner of the vampire territories.

"Master, you called?" 

Nyx's voice echoed at the back of Sue Terin's mind as she raced to the direction where Lotte was taken away. "Let's go and take back the kid!"

Screech! 

On cue, the claws of the phoenix scooped Sue's waist, throwing the latter midair. Sue Terin flipped midair, immediately landing atop her beast's back as they soared to the skies, following the trail of scent left by Lotte.
