I walked into the house after me and my dad were hanging out. I ran upstairs planning to ask Beverly to go to dinner together. I walked into my room and my whole body froze.

I looked around and found no Beverly. Not only Beverly but all of her clothes.. I ran downstairs immediately and my grandmother stopped me on the bottom of the staircase.

"Looking for Beverly?" She asked.

"Of course, she's my fiance."

"She went back to New York." My eyes widened when grandma said that.

"What? What do you mean she went back to New York."

"She's your fake fiance." Grandma said and my eyes widened even wider.

"What?" My dad asked and my mom appeared from the kitchen glaring at me.

"She told you?"

"No.. I knew it from the start." Grandma said.

"What?" I asked her disbelief and she nodded. She gestured to me to sit in the living room. I sat down across her and she sighed.
