Chapter 11: PAST

After Leona found out about it, she was immediately discharged from the hospital to go home to the mansion. She wanted to confront her stepmother herself about what she had done.

Leona sat lazily in the garden of the mansion. The cold wind blew, and she looked up at the sky. It's late but the stars are still not showing.

Sometime later, she saw Amelia coming so she smiled and looked at her intently.

"Did you go somewhere?" She smiled at Amelia and waved at her. It didn't bother to answer her. Instead, it sat straight in front of her, so she immediately poured it tea while still staring at her.

"I ran away from the hospital while the nurses weren't looking. Dr. Fuego sounds like he's pissed off. Put in a good word for me," Leona began as she watched her stepmother.

There seems to be something strange in the latter.

"Tell him I'm fine, and I can digest anything now," she added when she didn't answer and continued to look at her.
