Chapter 254: Chp

The guards rushed to me like they were sent to arrest me. Fear gripped my body tight as I managed to stand on my feet.

"Are you feeling sick?" Queen Marlena asked, lending me a hand. She was worried. 

I got up and brushed my dress. The emperor was looking at me. I took a breath and walked to him. We were going to deal with this, no matter how I wanted to run away from it. This was reality, I have to face the consequences of my action.

We got to the stand, quite fast. I bowed and greeted everyone. It was still at this point that I noticed the Emperor's smile. "Sit next to me, queen Ariadne" he placed his hand on the seat. I sat down and exhaled deeply. Did I almost die because of nothing?

"Must you come late to every event?" Grandmother asked. I didn't look at her face when I came. She was angry. "Don't make us wait for you again."
