Chapter 212: Chapter 210: Hydra Monster.

Inside the Avengers Tower. 12 hours after the Sokovia battle.
"So, you drank a purple potion and then you get your superpowers?" Barton interrogated Natasha after they got back from Sokovia.
"Yes." Natasha replied curtly. "Details!" Barton asked with a glittering eye. "Did the potion only work on you? Can it work on others too? Can we pick our powers?" He shot out rapid fire questions like he shot his arrows toward Natasha.
Ayala and Steve were inside the room too as Barton and Natasha was sitting on the sofa in the living room at that time.
"Ryan said the potion is limited. I don't know if he has it anymore. The powers…They are random. He said that people can turn into a giant tongue or a pool of water if they are unlucky." Natasha explained a bit to let the matter pass. She cleverly manoeuvred the conversation so that Ryan would take the brunt of the questioning and no one noticed it.
"What's wrong with a giant tongue? I could do a lot of things with a giant tongue." Barton replied while sniggering.
He seemed flirty so Ayala rolled her eyes. But for Natasha who knew that Barton was deep in love with his wife, the joke was only to protect his family by showing that he was single to the outside world.
"Not having a giant tongue. Become a giant tongue. Your entire body is a giant tongue. No hands or legs or anything else." Natasha replied while grinning. "I kind of want to see what you would do if you become one too. Want to ask Ryan if he has any left?"
She realised that Barton was longing for a superpower too after he saw she had one. But his pride was too high for him to ask Ryan on his own.
Suddenly, Tony walked into the living room while holding a pad. "They found an ancient alien city in San Juan."
"What?" Steve asked calmly.
"An alien city. People who walk in can be possessed by a ghost." Tony said spookily.
"Who found it?" Steve asked.
"Hydra did. But SHIELD managed to destroy their scheme. There are a few casualties by SHIELD. They are keeping the list hidden from the database, I couldn't get to it yet." Tony said in dissatisfaction.
"Why did Hydra want to go there?" Natasha asked from afar. Suddenly, her phone vibrates quietly – the phone with the number that only her closest friends knew.
"Apparently they wanted to get a weapon or some sort. To destroy the world. Same as usual. I will go there with Banner to check out the city. Anyone else want to come?" Tony smirked.
"Wait. You got permission?" Barton asked.
"Nope."
Steve saw Natasha's face changing colour after she received something on her phone. "What happened Nat?"
"This… the casualty..." Natasha broke her poker face for the first time in front of the Avenger group, causing all of them to be taken aback.
"It's…Skye." Natasha said, tears pooling in her eyes.
"WHAT!" Steve was the first one to react. The others exclaimed in shock and other emotions too as they knew who the casualty was. It was a daughter of one of their own. Suddenly, Jarvis chimed in for all of the people on the floor to hear.
"Sir. City of San Juan in Puerto Rico is under attack."
"From who?!" Tony replied anxiously.
"A Hydra sir."
"A What?!"

-San Juan, 6 hours after the Terrigenesis-
The sky darkened as night came. However, the SHIELD agents were still busily walking around the fort to study the ancient city.
Despite the crack, the terrigenesis process needed some time to be completed. Based on Ryan's experiment before, the stronger the power after the process, the longer the subject would spend inside the rock.
"Hmm… What the hell happened?"
Inside Knight's family mansion in Long Island, Ryan was trying to figure out how Gideon Malik's body had disappeared.
"He did die. I got a ping from the system for the low-level quest. Hell, I even got a reward. So how the hell did he come back to life?"
He scanned the entirety of San Juan city to find Gideon Malik, but the guy had disappeared without a trace.
"Did the city swallow him?" he mumbled. His purple eyes glowed for a second before he shook his head. "Ennead huh. Fuck!" Ryan cursed.
-EGYPT-
Inside a buried pyramid, Gideon Malik suddenly snapped open his eyes as he laid down inside a coffin. A mummified woman was beside him, but he didn't have any fear. He knocked on the coffin cover and suddenly found out that his strength was enhanced. In only 3 punches, the heavy coffin door was slammed open.
Gideon Malik walked out of the coffin and found himself in the middle of nowhere.
"This is... the city's influence?" the Hydra head muttered.
The city sentience almost took over his corpse before this, strengthening him with Kree powers as preparation. However, before the sentience could get inside the corpse and be reborn into an organic life, the corpse disappeared.
"My gamble succeeded. Now, it's time to make the world pay." Gideon said while clenching his first.
In Britain, a museum gift shop worker was smiling happily as he waved his customer goodbye. He looked suspiciously like Oscar Isaac but he wasn't a talented actor like he was.
"Ted, the boss wants you to put this up." The museum supervisor walked toward the gift shop and slammed a box filled with overpriced merchandize on the gift shop counter.
"I... I'm Steven." The gift shop worker said with a tiny voice.
"What's that Ted?"
"I'm…Steven…Steven Grant...We worked together for 4 months now..."
Nearby the gift shop, a non-corporeal Egyptian god with a bird skull as his head shook his head in disappointment as he watched his avatar's awkward behaviour.
"But now you're needed…Mark Spector… Tonight. The fist of Khonshu needs to hunt down the person who has cheated death using a broken promise." Khonshu muttered.
Inside the ancient city, a hidden battle was ongoing between 3 non-corporeal entities hidden from the mortal eyes.
The Chinese Ghost Bride and the imp had found the ancient city sentience before the city decided to possess the body of a few SHIELD agents to fight back.
"Damn it. What the hell is happening inside?" Phil Coulson evacuated the agents inside the city to the surface. He tried to pull Kai toward the surface too, but Kai was unmoving from sitting beside the Skye statue.
SHIELD managed to take out the two other statues without damaging them. When they tried to get near Skye's statue before, a transparent barrier of wind had blocked them from getting near the statue position.
Coulson already knew about Kai's weirdness so he ordered all of the other agents to leave Skye's statue alone. He texted Natasha in hope that she could change his mind. Although unmoving, Kai was actually commanding the battle of this companion beast versus the ancient city sentience.
The possessed SHIELD agents have a blue glow in their eyes as they were controlled by the city sentience to fight off Kai's companion beast.
"STAND DOWN!" Leo Fitz aimed his icer gun toward an Asian lady wearing a sexy, red dress and holding a parasol above her shoulder. She was getting toward the possessed SHIELD agent that Leo had taken down, startling her.
"I said. Stand DOWN!" Leo warned again, his instinct was screaming at him to run. His skin was full of goosebumps when the lady appeared and he could sense the air around him was becoming colder. As the lady was still walking without acknowledging Fitz's existence, he decided to open fire at the lady against his better judgement.
BANG BANG BANG
Three icer bullets were fired at the companion beast, however, it was all useless. The Chinese Ghost Bride finally saw Fitz and locked eyes with him.
"You're…Beauti…ful…" Fitz said, becoming mesmerised by the ghost. Her porcelain skin, her red lipstick, her voluptuous body, all of them makes Fitz fall deeper and deeper in love.
'Enough.' Kai ordered the companion beast from afar. If continued any longer, Fitz would voluntarily follow the lady to hell and forth. The Chinese Ghost Bride suddenly moved closer toward Fitz and kissed his cheeks before Kai could understand what happened.
'Ahh. He is filled with Yang energy. I didn't think Fitz is a virgin… so it must be a long time for him to get some…' Kai thought. 'He will get some good luck after this… unfortunately it will be good luck with the paranormal. Hopefully he will be fine.'
He would receive continuous wet dreams as a virgin ghost would come and visit him until his Yang energy was all sucked away.
Fitz was still mesmerised so the Chinese Ghost Bride started to chase the city sentience around an ancient city maze. A few more agents encountered the Bride, but no one else received the treatment that Fitz had received. Worse, some encountered the imp and the stone soldier. So, they got knocked out, the physical way.
"No." A possessed SHIELD agent tried to run away, but he was encircled by an Imp, a stone soldier statue, and a Chinese ghost bride.
"GABBY! Run away!" the other SHIELD agents around tried to protect the possessed agents, not knowing the whole situation. However, the possessed agent was soon ganged up by the companion beast and was taken away deep inside the ancient city.
Until Ryan came with the method to lock the city sentience, the unlucky SHIELD agent would be locked away by the companion beast.
-Outside the fort-
"Load it up carefully!" A team of logistic agents used a crane to transport the mutated 5 people stone statue outside of the ancient Kree city. The heavy statue was then safely placed on top of a trolley bed and the agents would later roll it toward the aircraft mobile base.
"What is this crack here?" One of the agents said as he examined the statue. He saw a bit of a fleshy substance from the crack and took a thin metal rod to poke at it. The flesh felt alive and icky to touch.
"They are still alive!" the agent exclaimed. Suddenly, a stone statue exploded as the creature inside had finished the terrigenesis rebirth. Inhuman terrigenesis could turn a man into a giant dog or a blob of flesh. The mutated hydra agent's statue was way worse than any of that.
A 5 headed, 10 metres tall humanoid abomination with greyish-skin appeared from the stone statue.
BOOM
The ground cracked as the creature fell to the ground. It turned his head around while letting out animalistic noises.
"What the hell- "
Before the SHIELD agents could comprehend the matter, the humanoid abomination swings his claws toward the crane holding him before, cutting the crane into pieces with his razor-sharp fingers. The only reason the agent was alive was because Melinda May ran toward him and tackled him out of the claw's way.
"HYDRA! HAIL! HYDRA! HAIL!" 4 other heads beside the main one chanted continuously as the monster let out a loud bellow!
"ROAR!!!!!"
Inside the temple, Kai raised his brows even though his eyes were still closed. Although the situation outside was dangerous and potentially catastrophic, he was still unmoving from his spot.
"SHOT IT DOWN!" The SHIELD agents there started to rain fire toward the monster, but the bullets were bouncing off its skin.
"KILL HYDRA ENEMY!" The creature bellowed before a pair of massive dragon wings appeared on his back. His first wing flap caused the agents there to be swept away by the wind pressure. One of the heads on the creatures' head let out a poison fog toward the agents as the creature took to the sky. The neck of the human heads around the main head started to elongate, letting the heads move on their own.
The creature wreaked havoc in the city of San Juan. Gawking citizens ran away from the fort area to get to safety and the creature started to attack indiscriminately.
As the inhuman was a combination of 5 people, it had 5 different characteristics with it. It has invulnerable skin, fire manipulation, poison manipulation, dragon transformation, and Hydra organisation's most powerful techniques, brainwashing.
One of the heads sang a lullaby, causing the citizens who were running in fear to halt.
"HAIL! HYDRA! HAIL! HYDRA!" The vulnerable-minded citizens of San Juan started to chant and ran toward the SHIELD agents there, wanting to beat them up with sticks and stones.
Inside the Knight's mansion, Wanda and Pietro were having dinner with Gwen and Tim Knight, being served by the butler, Hiddle. Ryan walked toward the dinner table and asked, "Wanda, Pietro. I know that it's been only 12 hours since your training."
" But there is an attack on San Juan right now. The Avengers are 20 minutes away, and the casualties would be in the thousands then. Will you guys help me and Gwen in the containment?"
Pietro was frozen with his mouth half open as he wanted to eat a steak. Wanda put her fork down and replied hurriedly, "We will."
"Son. Do you need the company's help?" Tim asked as Ryan opened up a portal to San Juan.
"Yeah. In rebuilding later. The monster is an easy job. The harder part is what comes next."
The massive wind flaps from the opposite direction almost caused a motorcycle to crash toward the portal. Wanda threw out a telekinetic shield to make sure that it didn't.
"Thank Wanda." Ryan complimented. Wanda blushed and smiled happily. Gwen rolled her eyes at Ryan and adorned her spider suit.
"Let's go fight a hydra." Ryan said in a cheeky tone.
- Afterlife, A quaint little village hidden from the world-
"There are 3 more of our people who activated their gift." Jiaying, a scarred Asian woman wearing a tight one-piece dress walked toward a man without eyes.
"Gordon. Go find them and bring them back home." Jiaying ordered. Gordon, the eyeless teleporter nodded before he disappeared from the wooden house. Jiaying eyes were cold and ruthless as she schemed about how to use the new Inhumans for her cause.
