Chapter 9: SPRING QUALIFIERS FIRST MATCH AND REACTIONS !!!
Today was the spring qualifiers and all the teams were present at the stadium except the star teams of the day . Suddenly a bus stops and team seijoh comes out , just by looking at their expressions you can say that they are dead serious about defeating shiratorizawa and go to nationals . Couple of minutes later another bus stops and team shiratorizawa comes out , they had indifferent expression , like they don't even hope to find a tough competition here. Seeing this seijoh was pissed but decided to stay quiet and move to the entrance . After both team entered the the stadium , couple of minutes later another bus stopped and this time it was team Karasuno , they had an excited and determined expression , they wanted to take revenge against seijoh for their loss and at the same time wanted to go to nationals with their seniors .
When karasuno entered the stadium , there were many murmurs about them and why won't there be , they almost defeated seijoh in the interhigh . All the karasuno players were walking towards their resting room when they were interrupted by a voice "YOOHOO--- 'tobio-chan' , 'chibi-chan' , how are you guys doing??" karasuno players turned and they knew who it was , It was oikawa , kageyama's senior and their first hurdle towards the ticket to nationals. "I hope to defeat you again tobio-chan , so don't lose before that" Saying this he left , while karasuno had a wild expressions , they were twitching to close the crappy mouth of Oikawa .Soon the the timings were announced and karasuno was playing against Johzenji high . They made their way to gym to warm up.The playing members of karasuno were Daichi sempai , asahi sempai , tanaka sempai , nishinoya sempai , sugawara sempai , and hinata . where Daichi sempai playing as middle blocker.
Inside the gym , Karasuno and Johzenji can be seen warming up , after their warm up they were on the court and ready to start the match , but something unseen happened , the referee , johzenji high and all the other teams were shocked when they saw karasuno players wearing blindfold and standing on the court . "Have karasuno grown too cocky , they really think that they can play properly wearing the blindfolds ??" several voices from audience can be heard . "THEY HAVE NERVE TO UNDERESTIMATE US , THEY ARE HUMILIATING US!!!!!" The manager of Johzenji high can be heard saying angrily . uchiha was sitting quietly on the bench , he was not planning to play till the game with seijoh , 'It's always wise to hide your strength' thought Uchiha . Wile all of this was happening the two powerhouses were unaware of this happening . Soon the game started and its was Johzenji's serve. 0-0 .
Their WS 1 {[ I WILL BE CALLING WING SPIKER (WS 1 , 2 , 3 NOW) AND MIDDLE BLOCKER(MB 1 AND 2 )]} did the normal serve and everyone expected to be a miss since karasuno players were blindfolded but to their surprise tanaka sempai received the ball perfectly and it went towards sugawara sempai , sugawara sempai tossed the ball to asahi sempai perfectly , asahi sempai knowing the ball coming for his spike took his runup , jumped and spiked the ball with only 20% of strength , there were no blockers since other team was too surprise to to even react. *BOOOM* The voice of ball hitting the floor brought them out of their stupor , they were shocked to their core seeing this , not only them even the referee and and audience were surprised . 1-0 , Karasuno in lead.
It was karasuno's turn to serve and daichi sempai also did a normal serve and was received by their libero , then it went to their setter who tossed it to their ace scoring them a point . 1-1 .
Its johzenji serve and they again did a normal serve which was received by daichi sempai , the ball went to sugawara sempai and he perfectly tossed it to tanaka sempai who hit a cross sensing blockers ahead . the other team was again shocked and their middle blocker thinking ' How did he know we were in front with his eyes close !!' . the match continued with johzenji winning the first set by the score 21-25 . " As if they can defeat us with those blindfolds on , they were just too cocky" Their 3rd year manager said smugly. listening to this their coach said " You better shut up !! , , they brought the match so close with their blindfolds on , this shows their strength and their trust in each other , you better not underestimate them " listening to their coach johzenji players nodded , while on karasuno bench ,
"Okay guys!! , win the next set by a small margin and hold back your strengths , by the end of next we will have our strategy prepared and then it will be the end of this match" Coach Ukai said while others nodded looking towards tsukishima and Uchiha . Karasuno returned to court after the break and the set started with serve of karasuno , Yamaguchi was called as the pinch server for this serve and he scored 3 continuous service aces , with 4th being received and johzenji scored the point 3-1 . The set continued and it ended with karasuno winning with score 27-25 . On johzenji's bench the coach was in deep thinking ' How are they able to perform so naturally with their eyes closed!! It's like they have a third eye seeing everything , SCARY!! TOO SCARY!!! ' .
While on karasuno's bench Uchiha and Coach Ukai were grinning seeing team come to bench , seeing their grin everyone understood that the plan was ready and it's time to end match.
