Chapter 63: Accomplishment
Broken wrist, two fractures in forearms, a dislocated shoulder injury in the head, nine cracks in the ribs, crushed bones in the legs, and unusual internal injury. These were the appearance of Wei Li after getting hit by the summoned undead.
When Lin Cian was circling around Wei Li his foolish thoughts were 'Pumpkin? let's see if you can be my key to winning your master!' He then started to work according to his plan. He circled around Wei Li ensuring a slow and steady phase by which Wei Li wouldn't get alerted. When the distance between Wei Li and the summoned undead creature became narrower Lin Cian let out a crazy grin. He turned towards the summoned undead creature and looked at its eye pit and stopped himself like he was not moving anymore. On seeing the surrendered victim the undead creature elongated its tail to sweep Lin Cian. Lin Cian, Wei Li, and the summoned undead were standing in triangular points. The summoned undead and Wei Li were on the left and right respectively from the point of Lin Cian. When the summoned undead swept its tail at Lin Cian who was technically at its front not knowing of his scheme he dodged. The summoned undead not aware of Lin Cian's plan strikes with a powerful sweep towards Lin Cian who was the root cause of its irritation. He irritated it by making it chase him for a few minutes. When running from the undead he ensured that he was within a very short distance from the summoned undead. Whenever the summoned undead clawed or stricken he just dodged but didn't break the phase. This mentally affected both the summoned undead and Wei Li. So when seeing Lin Cian not moving the summoned undead swept its tail relentlessly without knowing about the dark future of its master. Wei Li was also mentally irritated by his behavior so when Lin Cian stopped he commented to hit him. But little did he know that Lin Cian was a father-like figure when it comes to scheming. He dodged in the direction of Wei Li. Lin Cian just hopped on his front-right position where Wei Li was. The tail which followed Lin Cian at a high speed had no time to stop when Lin Cian suddenly fell to the ground on his stomach. It was too late for Wei Li to do anything other than a cursing Lin Cian. He was shocked and was not able to move but to face the hit to his ribs. He was sent flying while getting much damage by hitting the ground at a full speed. On seeing that it has hit its master the summoned undead accused itself of guilt and when it felt the connection between it and Wei Li was losing it disappeared into his mental sphere to help Wei Li with his recovery.
Wei Li is more of a summoner than a mage. Mages summon elemental attacks and curses. But a summoner is different. A summoner will summon his martial form into a real creature to attack the enemies. The summoner is also able to make the summoned creature attack and summon spells. It is not common among the mages to practice summoning because it will be very easy to expose themselves to their enemy because the summoner will focus on his summon rather than themselves. So it was easy to stalk them to death.
Lin was not scared of these things because the worst he had to heal Wei Li. But now he was very tired and the energy chamber in his body felt empty to him. Suddenly Lin Cian felt that the drained energy was refilling itself. He was amazed and surprised by the sudden changes in his body. But when a sweet fragrance entered his nose he realized the reason for the energy skyrocketing in his body. It was the healing spell cast by June. Lin Cian raised his head and looked at Wei Li who was getting healed by the spell of June. Lin Cian was still panting and balancing himself on his knees. "It will take almost a day for Wei Li to recover from his injuries," said June. June was nonchalantly casting her spell on both Lin Cian and Wei Li. When Lin Cian had enough strength to drive himself he raised his hands against her gesturing for her to stop. Understanding that Lin Cian have enough strength she started to use the maximum of her potential on Wei Li who was unusually injured.
Lin Cian was still panting but he sat on the floor to recuperate himself. The one he defeated was the strongest opponent after all. Even if he defeated Wei Li he didn't boast or exclaimed. There was no excitement on his face he was just as usual. He was sitting on the floor and started to recover the remaining energy by himself. After an hour of amassing her spiritual energy into him, June felt tired. Wei Li was also healed physically.
Lin Cian opened his eyes and got up on his feet. He was completely healed in the previous hour of meditation. In the previous hour, he felt his energy chamber was filled with energy. He also felt that his energy chamber was accumulating energy at a high speed than before. His mental energy also seemed to be refilling itself when he was relaxed. His spirit energy was soring like a dragon in his body. He was satisfied with the improvements in his body. It was what he get to pick a fight with a more powerful person than him. 'The more powerful the opponent is the quicker my potential will show off' Lin Cian said and nodded internally while wearing a slight smile on his face. When he started to walk Lin Cian was greeted with the smile, surprise, and excitement of the other members of the party. He also greeted them with a smile.
Lin Cian saw that Wei Li was sleeping for a short while now. So he decided not to disturb him. The pain of broken bones is not something to be underestimated. Even Lin Cian regretted picking up a fight with him. "Are you worried?" a broad voice resounded in Lin Cian's ears. When he turned towards the sound he saw Harry was standing towards him with a smile fastened on his lips. Lin Cian also responds to him with a smile. But his smile was a cover to hide his worries which was clearly seen by Harry. He saw June who was sitting on the ground with crossed legs and meditating herself to accumulate the lost energy. After ensuring that June was safe and sound Harry made his move.
"Don't worry about him getting teased or mocked. No one will" said Harry in a clear and cold tone. His few words instantly changed Lin Cian's mood. It answered all the questions Lin Cian had. Lin Cian was worried that because Wei Li was defeated by a very weak person he would be teased and mocked. Understanding the worry Lin Cian had Harry stepped in and remind him of the fact. Harry didn't stop with that. He said "Congratulations on getting yourself into the earth realm". Lin Cian was shocked when heard that. He was shocked because even he wasn't aware of the strength he had. Because of not having a core his energy cannot be measured.
When William stepped into the earth realm a few months ago he had many changes on his body including the drastic speed. The recovery rate per minute went high, the strength William displayed and the energy recoiled in his body also increased. But there are no specific changes in Lin Cian's body. At least he couldn't feel it. Harry looked at the confused Lin Cian "sometimes the results take time to be felt" said harry. Lin Cian slightly bowed his head at him in understanding and gratitude.
"Rondell you did well" a voice sent Lin Cian back. He was shocked to hear those words because the tone resembles as if she was not worried about the injury of her comrade. It was Aveda, the leader of the ghost party. Her strong but nonchalant voice sold her out. Understanding Lin Cian's thoughts through the worried and confused look he displayed on his face Aveda let out a sigh. "It's my wrong. I shouldn't have tried to cheer you up thinking you are worried" said Aveda. Only by then did Lin Cian see her true expression. Her face showed how worried she was. Lin Cian was amused to know how strong she was mentally. Even when she was worried she could think about taking care of and cheering for her comrades. That was a strong sense of strength. For a moment Lin Cian admired her.
"I am fine. Thanks for asking" said Lin Cian while slightly bowing at her. She widened her eyes but she forcibly calmed herself down. She was surprised because this was the first time she could see a youth who doesn't boast about his accomplishments. Even if his knowledge and strength were somehow he was used to and not something to boast about, the fact that he defeated the senior member of the team who was using half of his strength of the earth realm is something to boast about. She smiled at Lin Cian and bowed slightly, making Lin Cian somehow surprised. She then moved towards Wei Li assuring Lin Cian was alright.
