Second Volume - New Moon.
____________
Jack exited his motel room one last time.
He was holding the keys, and his bag of clothing, which also had his bat and the shotgun he stole *cough* borrowed from Charlie.
With one last glance at the door, he started walking away.
He didn't go straight to the parking lot— instead, he took a detour and went to the registration building.
There was a man with a messy beard and long hair. He was sitting while reading a newspaper.
Jack entered the building, which instantly gathered his attention.
''Yes?'' The man asked.
Jack showed him the keys and put them on the desk, ''I will be checking out.''
The man nodded, ''Did you bring this month's rent?''
Jack nodded and put a small stack of bills on the table.
The man grabbed the bills and waved his hand.
Jack left the building and took a final look towards the motel, which pretty much was his home past year.
But no longer, because Alice and he was going to move together! The rest of Cullens have been building a house for them past month, and yesterday it was finished.
Alice was part of the designing team as well, while Jack wasn't allowed near that place.
The reason for the house is simple.
Since their first time, Alice and Jack have been inseparable, it was like they were glued to each other, and the only time when they weren't together was when Jack returns to the motel to sleep.
Emmett and Jasper were the first ones to request making a new house for them.
Jasper couldn't stand being near them because the emotions just kept growing stronger between them, and Emmett was simply annoyed at their flirting.
Jack mounted his motorcycle and started driving towards the school.
Today is a special day in general.
It's Bella's birthday, and Cullens wanted to celebrate it, but it is also the day when Alice and Jack will move into their new house.
The sky was grey as always, and the ground was wet and slippery. After the rain, the smell of nature grows stronger, and Jack enjoys it immensely.
While driving, he inhaled deeply and enjoyed the scent.
It is far different from Chicago, which had quite stuffy air, with all kinds of chemicals in the air.
It isn't bad when you get used to it, but it has a huge difference when you go somewhere far from the city, and you are only surrounded by nature.
Jack had already entered the town area, and there were still some signs of Ghost Rider activity. The road has been fixed to some extent, but it was still broken, and the street lamps have been replaced.
That incident was even reported on Fox News because that incident seemed very unusual. Still, there were some townsfolk who claimed to have seen a man with a flaming skull riding a motorcycle, no one took them seriously, but it was still hilarious news.
There used to be reporters a few months ago, but now it's in the past, and no one cares about it anymore.
Soon, he entered the parking lot of Forks High School, where Bella had already arrived and was taking pictures about her friend group.
Jack parked his motorcycle and unmounted it.
He was still holding his bag with his clothes, bat, and shotgun inside. If anyone would see the interior of the bag, then they would assume that Jack is about to commit a mass school shooting.
A black-colored car parked next to him.
Jack turned his head and saw Edward exiting the car.
''Morning,'' Edward said.
''Yo,'' Jack said— he opened the car door and put his bag inside.
Edward didn't mind and started walking towards Bella.
Jack closed the car's door and started walking towards the school building.
''Umm, Jack.''
Jack was about to pass them, but then he stopped after hearing Bella's voice.
''Yea?''
Bella showed her camera and awkwardly smiled, ''Can I take a picture? My mom wanted me to make some kind of scrapbook of memories.''
''Sure,'' Jack said and stood still.
Bella awkwardly chuckled, ''Maybe a smile won't hurt?''
Edward chuckled and crossed his arms.
Jack smiled slightly, and a flash of lightning appeared.
''That's good, thanks.''
Jack nodded and went towards the school building.
Bella looked at the picture and nodded, ''He looks good when he tries little.''
Edward looked at the photo and chuckled.
Jack obviously did minimum effort with the smile.
''Do you think he forgot to do the essay?'' Edward asked.
Bella sighed and facepalmed, ''He definitely forgot.''
Edward shrugged.
Jack was walking in the corridors, searching for a certain pixie.
It didn't long for him to find her cheerfully talking with Edythe and Jasper.
She was holding a small wrapped packet.
Jack appeared behind her and put his hands on her waist.
''Kyaa!'' Alice was surprised because she was talking with Edythe and Jasper, and then someone wrapped his arms around her waist.
She turned her head and smiled, ''Jacky!''
''What is this?'' Jack asked while looking at the packet.
''This is for Bella for tonight!'' She replied cheerfully.
''Is it a dress?'' Jack asked.
Alice nodded, ''Yup, I already saw her opening this, and she will love it~''
Jack nodded, ''That's nice.''
''I will go give her this!'' Alice said and started hopping towards Bella, who was currently walking with Edward in the corridors.
A moment ago she met Jacob in the parking lot and was happy with the present she got from him.
Jack, Edythe, and Jasper followed behind Alice.
Alice instantly trapped Bella in a hug and congratulated her.
Bella looked defeated, ''I thought I said no presents.''
Alice giggled, ''I already saw you opening it, and you will love it!''
Even though she didn't want any presents, she still had a small smile on her face.
''Wear it tonight when you will be visiting our place!'' Alice said with a hopeful look.
Bella looked conflicted— she didn't really like her birthdays— it only means that she will grow older, while Edward doesn't get older at all.
''Pleasee, it will be fun.'' Alice tried to use her puppy eyes, while Jasper started using his ability to control Bella's emotions.
His ability started working, and Bella sighed and nodded, ''Okay...''
''Great! I will see you at seven!'' Alice said with an energetic expression— she turned around and started hopping towards Jack.
She hugged Jack and felt extremely excited for tonight.
But then Bella felt like something was amiss.
Her eyebrow twitched, ''Jasper, it's not fair to control someone's emotions!''
Edythe grinned and dragged Jasper away.
Jasper chuckled and followed behind her.
''Happy birthday,'' Jack said and left with Alice towards their next class.
But then he remembered something very important.
'Was the essay today or tomorrow... I think it was tomorrow...' Jack shrugged.
''I think it will be fun, and finally, Alice and Jack will move out, they are very loud, you know, that alone is an event to be celebrated.'' Edward chuckled.
Bella awkwardly chuckled and had pink of hue in her cheeks, ''T-They are shameless.''
''It reminds me of Edythe and Jasper— they were quite bad as well.'' Edward had a face of nostalgia.
Bella looked thoughtful and started walking towards her next class while Edward was walking next to her.
