The level of false pity in the room was nearly suffocating. I didn't want to deal with this any longer. I wanted to move on, but I had to wait. I needed to let Callum play his part before we moved forward. Then the others would be able to do what they needed to as well.

"Would you like to have a seat, King Callum?" Darrow motioned toward the table and the chairs that had not yet been occupied. As he spoke, I knew that the plan was nearing its completion. And now was the moment that I had been waiting for. This was my time to do what I needed to.

Callum was still speaking with the others, refusing to sit, but telling them about the supposed assassination of Princess Addison Solis. They didn't know that she was still alive, because they had not gotten word from their allies yet. I was listening, but it had taken on a background role.
