**ADDIE'S POV**

After Nolan and I had spoken with the Nobles of the village, I was feeling a little perplexed. It was still just a little hard for me to understand how easily it was for me to influence those people and to get them to understand that I meant business. And after I had intimidated them all in the beginning.

I needed to talk about this. I needed to try to understand it all just a little bit better. So, while having lunch with Nolan, I brought up the topic. With us in the room were Orson, Dane, Hunter, Hiam, Grady, Macy and Violet. We were still being careful as we spent our time in this village. Even though they all agreed to be better people, we needed to take precautions. It was how the guards wanted to do it, and Nolan agreed with them.

"Nolan?" I called out to him as I just picked at my food. I wasn't able to eat while I was thinking about this topic.
