Chapter 5: Chapter 5: Class
Ardyn and Talia walked into their first class on human anatomy. While they were already trained to know everything about the human body. They still enjoyed the subject despite their misgivings about how they were raised.
Ardyn and Talia sat down together in the back. They watched as a lot of students started to come in. Many of the people they looked at earlier also came in. Ardyn was looking down an accidentally locked eyes with Jean Grey. Since Ardyn had already made eye contact he winked at her. This caused Jean to roll her eyes. Ardyn then looked to Jeans left and saw that Scott Summers (Cyclops) looked ready to kill him. Ardyn just smiled. Talia looked over and coughed "Man whore."
Ardyn had a 'nice' smile "Love sick."
Talia smirked "Better get ready here they come. And Here I thought we were going to stay low profile."
Scott was the first to say something once they got up "Hey those are our seats."
Ardyn yawned "Oh sorry. First day here."
Scott just watched as they didn't move an inch. He was about to say something when Jean said "It's fine Scott don't worry about it."
Jean then looked at Ardyn and Talia. "Sorry about that I'm Jean Grey and this is my boyfriend Scott Summers."
Ardyn looked at them both and Talia said "Sorry about my brother he is an idiot sometimes. I'm Talia and this is my brother Ardyn. If he hits on you just ignore him he can't help it."
Ardyn turned to Talia "Come on I'm not that bad. She is clearly taken."
Jean smiled "It's fine. Scott let's just sit next to our new friends."
Scott frowned but nodded "Fine."
The class then went on as normal they occasionally chatted back and forth. Ardyn then said "So you guys run into SuperHeros a lot?"
Jean tilted her head "What do you mean by that?"
Ardyn nodded "Well we are literally in New York and in between Metropolis and Gotham. So do you see Hero's a lot."
Jean shook her head "Not really. Not that I can think of."
Ardyn sighed "Oh too bad. What about mutants?"
Scott frowned "What?"
Ardyn shrugged "Mutants? You know people with the mutant gene who then have powers."
Ardyn then continued "I find it weird how hero's get tested for the mutant gene and they don't have it. They are treated as normal. Put on a pedestal in fact. But mutants if you have powers and it happens to be due to the mutant gene you are looked down upon. I find it very strange."
Scott nodded his head and Jean had a huge smile "Exactly i completely agree. It just does not make sense. How is one viewed lesser then the other."
Ardyn smiled "One problem I have with mutants though is that they use their powers whenever they feel like it. Which is not necessarily a bad thing. But let's say they try to read someone's mind but they can't. So they then decide to read my sisters mind. Now that would be something I would be pretty angry about."
Ardyn turned to Talia "What about you Tal?"
Talia narrowed her eyes "Depends on how much she already knows. And how honest she can be about doing it."
Jean look terrified and Scott got mad "Now listen here!"
Ardyn smiled "Be quiet we are still in class after all. We can talk about it after we are done for the day around 2 pm."
The bell then rang and Ardyn and Talia got up and left.
As they got away Ardyn sighed "I know you wanted to wait to reveal anything but she was already reading your mind. So she definitely knows already what you have done. And maybe me."
Talia rolled her eyes "It's fine. I was hoping we could be normal college students for a bit. But we might as well start the plan. So what we going to do?"
Ardyn smiled "Let's slowly ingrain ourselves in certain groups and start to slowly flip them to our side. If we want our own team it's how we have to do it. I know one person we can for sure get. As she does not have a group yet. I will catch you later at 2 remember."
Ardyn and Talia then split up. Ardyn then went on to his next class. He was surprisingly happy when he walked in as it was just the girl he was looking for Anna Marie (Rogue). Ardyn learned that she was a Hydra captive who somehow escaped some years ago. They had tortured her and tested her for her powers. Ardyn was able to read a full list on her.
Ardyn had saw her earlier in the courtyard. He was hoping to talk to her at one point. Ardyn smiled 'My luck stat must be insane.'
In truth she would be a perfect fit for his team. Hates hydra and has no other allegiances. The other two hate Hydra as well.
Ardyn smiled as he walked up to where he was sitting and put out his hand "Hey I'm new to the area. Names Ardyn Sephiroth."
Anna was in a very Goth heavy metal outfit. She just looked up at Ardyn and then went back to doing her own thing. Ardyn looked her over and saw she was completely covered in clothes even going as far as wearing gloves. She did look beautiful even with Only her head and her wrists being uncovered.
Ardyn sighed internally and thought 'Time to be a clutz.'
Ardyn then 'accidentally' tripped an as he was falling over grabbed onto Anna's wrist. Anna tried to pull away but Ardyn held on. Ardyn eventually let go after a little bit "Sorry about that."
Ardyn then sat down next to her an acted like nothing happened. Ardyn side glanced at her and noticed that she had a shocked face.
Anna tried to calm down "Are you alright."
Ardyn kept a nonchalant face "Yeah sorry about that I just tripped over myself. Are you okay I grabbed your wrist pretty hard?"
Anna blinked a couple times and just nodded "I'm fine. If you are."
Ardyn smiled "Okay good."
Ardyn then went back to preparing for class. But internally he was freaking out 'Thank God that worked. My Restore based materia actually protected me. Hopefully this gets her to start talking as I can actually touch her.'
(For those who don't know Sephiroths Restore based materia is one of the best that continually heals him.)
The rest of the class happened but Ardyn noticed that Anna kept taking looks at him throughout. Towards the end of class Ardyn turned towards Anna "Sorry about earlier but like I said earlier my name is Ardyn Sephirtoh. Yours?"
Anna kept a neutral face "Anna Marie."
Ardyn smiled "Well Anna Marie do you want to hang out during lunch? I'm new here so if you could show me where everyone eats that would be great."
Anna was hesitant at first but nodded "Yeah sure. I don't mind."
Ardyn nodded "Alright show me the way then."
Anna led Ardyn to the area where everyone sits an eats lunch usually. Ardyn noticed Talia was already sitting down eating with people. Talia then turned around and saw Ichor with a girl with brown hair an a white streak in her hair. Talia rolled her eyes "Already."
Gwen Stacy then asked "What do you mean already?"
Talia was currently eating with Gwen Stacy, Mary Jane, Felicia Hardy, Peter Parker and Harry Osborn. Talia gave an awkward smirk "That's my brother over there and he is already with some random girl."
Mary Jane smiled "Well he is pretty hot."
Harry got annoyed "MJ."
MJ smiled "What I'm just saying. Well Talia you going to bring him over."
Talia sighed "Sure."
Talia walked up and made her way over to Ardyn and Anna. Ardyn looked towards Anna "That girl walking up is my sister Talia."
Talia made her way up "Hey Ardyn who is this?"
Ardyn smiled "Talia this is Anna. Anna Talia."
Talia stuck her hand out "Nice to meet you. I'm this idiots sister."
Anna actually shook her hand since she had the gloves on "I'm Anna nice to meet you."
Talia smiled "Anyways Ardyn my friends want to meet you."
Talia pointed behind her and Ardyn noticed that it was one of the groups they saw earlier by the fountain.
Anna then shyly said "I will leave you too it then."
Ardyn grabbed her hand and slid her glove up a bit so they made skin contact "Come on it will be fun."
Once again Anna was shocked as nothing was happening. She felt like she was taking some type of energy but it only seemed to relax her. She looked at Ardyn who was still holding on and dragging her. He seemed completely unaffected. Anna was on the verge of tears as she has not been able to touch anyone in so long.
Halfway to the table Ardyn noticed this and let go of her hand. Anna looked down at her hand a little sad that Ardyn let go. "Sorry Anna it's okay if you are uncomfortable with this. I did not mean to make you do something that you don't want to do."
Anna shook her head "No it's fine. It's just something else don't worry about it. I have to go."
Anna then turned around and started to leave. Ardyn grabbed her one more time "Wait at least let me get your number."
Anna nodded shyly "Okay."
They then exchanged numbers an Anna left.
