Chapter 50: Father and Son Talk

"I think you have to talk to your dad about that part," I told my son as we walked back to the enchanted mountain.

Marius fell silent and didn't say anything anymore. I have a feeling that he met a girl while he's roaming around the area. But I'm not in the position to teach him about finding his companion. Gregory will be able to do that for him.

That made me think about how I fell for his father. He stalked me and turned me into a vampire without my consent. It was forced and I can't do anything about it anymore. But I've grown to love him as time passes by. Will Marius need to do that as well?

Gregory catches up and all three of us walk towards the balete tree. Even if we can be there faster, we decided to walk like mortals for some bonding time. I caught Marius smiling to himself. It's confirmed, he met someone he likes.

"You found your beloved while exploring!" Gregory mentioned.

"Of course, not! I was just exploring the area." Marius looks embarrassed.
