After Magdalene left his house sometime in the early evening, he decided to surprise Darwin and Kellan with a nice meal at home. He knew they would be coming over to his house around seven o’clock, so he had an hour left to prepare everything. They might have met due to an extraordinary occurrence related to Lucinda and the evil spirit that had taken her life, but he thought it would be nice to inject a sense of normalcy into their lives together. Otherwise, it would grow stale soon enough. The three of them needed to be able to communicate and get along with one another even without the paranormal happenings hanging over their heads all of the time. He hoped they could take a short break from the supernatural stuff for one night at least and enjoy a simple dinner at home. That really shouldn’t be too much to ask for. 13
