No way. It couldn’t be. After everything that had happened to me, there was no way my luck was that good.

“Bethany!” cried yet another familiar voice.

“V-Vie?” I whispered on a sob.

Like an angel of mercy, Vie’s honey brown hair bounced in front of the truck's light coming straight at me.

My knees went weak and threatened to hit the ground, and if it were not for Trev’s quick hands grabbing my arms, I probably would have greeted the ground enthusiastically.

Tears free flowed down my face, coupling with the gut wrench sobs that suddenly would not be silenced.

“Wh-what are you guys doing here?” I sobbed out the only thing that was playing through my head.

“Alyssa called and told us something was going down. She said if we didn’t hear from them by tonight to get our asses down here. So here we are,” Trev explained, trying to comfort me.
