"Someone's calling you."

Tristan jolted up and confusedly looked where she was looking. He paused, trying to listen.

His brows furrowed. "No. I didn't hear anything."

"Listen carefully. Someone's really calling you," she looked at him, anxious.

Tristan once again looked at the horizon. This time, he heard a faint sound. He wasn't sure what the voice was saying but, he knew it was a girl's voice.

He stood up and squinted his eyes. "Is there another island on the other side?"

"Tristan..." She intently stared at Tristan's confused face. "Would you like to stay here with me?"

Tristan paused. Stay with her? Wasn't it supposed to be good to hear? But, why did he feel like something was off with those words?

"I knew you will hesitate." She stood up and hid her hands behind her, gazing into nowhere. "Do you want to go?"
