Chapter 142: Fish Pond and questions without answers

"You like birds?" Zamir asked offhandedly as he threw a handful of fish food into the pond.

Nathan stretched out his body like a lazy Persian cat as he glanced at the large red birds that dare to call the sky their own.

"No. Not really." He closed his eyes and refused to divulge anything further. It was not like he hated birds either.

 What he felt for them was even crazier. Longing? Envy? He asked himself as the Cortez family red quillins covered the sky and flew across again in neat rows and columns.

If he told someone that whenever he saw a parade like this in the sky, he wanted to fly up and join them. They would think he was crazy, right? Crazier than normal?

He yawned and sat up to fill his glass of wine but the delicate glass cup was already filled with a non-alcoholic iced drink.
