"I should have been a better son. I should have at least tried to be on the same page with her. I should have helped her when she was alone. I failed, Fahima, just like how I already failed Udrad.

"We have lost over eight hundred men in just a span of three days and I couldn't even do anything. What kind of a leader am I? What kind of a son am I?" Unar asked as he looked at his best friend. 

He didn't think the question was tough to answer, but for the first time in so long, Unar needed someone to tell him he was doing okay. That he wasn't really feeling as much as his mate was bringing down the kingdom.

As Fahima looked at him, she knew that he was too hurt to even think straight.
