"Father, are you okay?" Unar asked when he got to Edison and the sight that met him, made him want to murder someone.

Edison was pinned to the ground and it seemed like the whole podium had fallen on him. What made Unar even angrier was the fact that there was someone holding onto his father, like he was choking Edison.

Sure, his father was worse than the devil's spawn, but whoever this was, he chose the wrong night to come after Edison, because the son was definitely not going to forgive him. Angrily, Unar used his lycan strength to get everything from his father.

Unar was tempted to ask why no one had bothered to save the king, but he already knew the answer. Whatever had happened tonight, would be their chance at salvation from a man who had been ruthless and a mindless killer of their family members.

Granted, they couldn't lay a finger on Edison, but the beast of the midlands had done them a favor when his growl shook everything that had been imbalanced.
