Chapter 325: A Vampire Born

"So... you are a vampire born?" Emily asked the obvious as she looked at Sera who just nodded her head with a tight smile on her lips. The girl was too fragile to be a vampire, in any case, at least that was the first thought that came into her mind.

"No, no, you missed the main point, Emy." Shane quickly chimed in when he noticed the mistake in Emily's chosen words and tried to correct her. "She's the first and only vampire born in this world which makes her really special and important."

A small smile appeared on Emily's lips but it had nothing to do with humor. She wanted to say it out loud for both her friend and his mate to hear - being special and important in the supernatural world was more of a bad omen instead of a good one, she knew it better than anyone else.
