Chapter 292: Stairs Vs Heels

Emily followed Kaiden as they ascended stairs after stairs. The castle was beautiful and full of royal feel that called to her artistic side.

However, she couldn't deny that she was missing the modern-day elevators considering she was wearing five inches high pencil heels and walking up the stairs. Her feet were almost on fire because of discomfort.

"Are you alright?" Kaiden suddenly asked as he stopped in his tracks and turned to look at her. His cerulean blue eyes studied her tentatively to see if she was okay or not.

"Can I be honest?" Emily asked as she looked at him with her eyebrows arched high as she waited for his response. She caught sight of a barely noticeable twitch on his lips as Kaiden nodded his head in affirmative.
