Write a reviewOne of the best cultivation novels Iβve every read. Incredibly built world and progression. I found one story inconsistency but not a terrible one. The characters change and developed, the path changes, the jokes are few but silly and self aware.
Hello, I want to start this novel, I would be happy if you answer a few questions... Does the main character kill his enemies or does he have friends like Naruto? Is the female character a fly that clings to MC's power or is he the end of the harem... Is MC really ruthless? Does he kill his enemies without distinguishing between men and women? And Are the author's other novels related to work? In what order should I read them?
At chap 1204 and only have praise. It's amazingly well thought through. The characters, power, world and overarching plot are not just well done but feel like it's been perfectly planned out from page 1. If you've read Sword God, you know a lot about the power system already. The big difference from Sword God is that you aren't following the story of some shortsighted pshychopsth, but someone with goals and desires you could actually relate to. It gets deep into the why characters are doing things to the point where it's philosophically coherent. There isn't some baseless reason for a character's actions or power, but instead a well thought out framework which doesn't subtract at all from the actual story. This is a crazy change of pace from what's on this platform. Author change your bio cause I like Gravis
overall great story really appreciate it character development is also great but I wanted to see orthar loose his will to fight seriously man u shouldn't have killed him that easily
Reveal Spoilerthis was the first book I read, it was simply thrilling.,, I love it, all the actions were vividly described with Rich imaginations .. simply described in one word "Awelsome" ... ππππ
Not entirely making a full review as I have only read this novel far after it is has been completed but this novel is amazing. Just when you think itβs getting a bit stale there is a something new and interesting that happens especially towards the end. 9.4/10.
Read the whole thing, I didn't like it at first but the good reviews hooked me in. After a while it wasn't as depressing anymore so, I read it further and I really liked it. Was definitly a nice change of pace from the normal cliches. One of my first reviews because if was really enjoying the Novel.
at start we get to know there is karmic luck or smth that affects mc, but through the story the luck in the end is not even mentioned so it kind of sucks but of course happens, anyway author has talent in making nice powerful mc with powerful abilities and tragic end, enjoy
Phenomenal story, so far the longest web novel that Iβve read but I was enthralled the whole time. I gets long winded at times but the explanations are effective and somewhat necessary. If you enjoy complex world building and introspective characters this is a must read. An epic adventure spanning millennia with a unique system of cultivation juts an overall enjoyable experience!!!
I read(and finished) this after finishing Sword God in a World of Magic. And while this work is definitely a page-turner that I was never bored with, I still prefer SGIAWOM more. They both have power systems that become more interesting and complex with time (before notably regressing to simplicity at the highest levels of power). They are both very aware of common wuxia/xianxia narrative tropes and often cleverly subvert them. However, this work makes it seem like there's only one legitimate path to power instead of Sword God having many different and branching paths to power that were all equally valid. I feel that makes it a bit less interesting since, at the highest levels of power, there aren't many differences between people anymore.
Reveal Spoilerthe story was pretty good till chapter 290, but after that point for me it was a complete pitfall. I really didn't expect any romance or love partner which I absolutely ABHOR In cultivation novels, but there actually is that... I suppose reading your other novels (gems both kill the sun and the one about shang in magic world) made me assume there won't be any romance in this novel.... honestly i could get past romance in kill the sun or when Shang achieve his goal but during the process, no.....
I came here after finishing and loving "Sword God in a World of Magic." And I am happy to say that at least as of chapter 106, the story is similarly excellent! The story also has many parallels and differences between the two, so if you liked one, you're very likely to like the other!
I just finished this novel and this is going to be my first review after 3 years here. This book is crazily good. The end was a bit rushed but I loved it regardless. the author did a good job subverting common cultivation tropes. Actual important characters die, which makes sense. The cultivation world should not be all bed and roses. The main character, Gravis goes through a lot and his character progression and growth made complete sense most of the time. Imagine having the craziest background possible. Your father can literally match heaven. The idea behind Mortis was peak, and it hurt me when he died. I also really respect heaven. His schemes ran deep. The world also makes total sense. To be honest, the story could have been paced better and we could have had more fleshed out characters than Gravis, Mortis, the Opposer and Heaven. But it is still really good. I highly recommend.
Reveal SpoilerThis is pretty much as good as original cultivation novels go. It is your typical cultivation novel with tropes and stuff, but it goes beyond with its character development and the world is done very well. It's just that some scenes aren't described that well, besides that it's solid.
one of the best cultivation books I ever read. The character development was simply phenomenal π
I liked it very much. character development 10/10 and the history has a nice pace. very fulfilling ending
I started because i thought lightining was cool and all, but it just got better and better as the story proceeded. It's perfect, loved it. Thanks for this great work <3
Slightly above average cultivation journey. It starts interesting with world building and new characters. Quite few of them are well described and interactions between them are excellent, while other could benefit from more time and colour. The main character design and development are rather strong with plot turns unique/refreshing at times but other parts weak. After a several hundred chapters I found some of the content repetitive and started to skip chapters to see the end. Overall it is a decent book and worth checking out.
I am the author of this novel, so of course I am biased to myself. Welcome to my book! I thank everyone for reading my work, even if you don't like it. I have read a LOT of webnovels, many of them translated from chinese. I have seen a lot of commonly used tropes, and as a change of pace, I wanted to create something different. There will be nearly no "Young Masters". Only a very select few. (The absence of at least one idiot is just as bad as overfilling) There will be no "I must save (the Honor of) my Family!" There will be no "Heaven sent lucky chances". Heaven controls luck, and Heaven does not like the MC, at all. I also want to show a real change in Gravis' personality as time goes by. He won't always be a wimp. He won't always be a cold-hearted killing machine. Just as emotions change, people change with them. This is a lot to live up to, but I'll do my best. Updates will be 2 chapters per day. I have a backlog, so updates will be constant. Thank you all for reading!
