Chapter 87: The Sorcerer is a Monster

It was dawn. 

The clouds appeared to be on fire, absorbing and spreading the rays of the rising sun, like flames of Heaven curling down towards the mortal realm.

A charred scent filled LiangLin's senses, ashen taste clinging to his tongue, and lined his throat as he watched over the endless fields of dewy green and gold. 

He no longer was in Hei'ang or the imperial palace, and only when obsidian scales so dark they reflected his image appeared before his eyes, obstructing the sunlight, did he realise he was in a dream.

A dragon. 

LiangLin watched in awe as the beast lifted off its feet, gliding up towards heaven without a sound. Blood-red scaling ran down its abdomen, fading into black. From the ground, he could see the golden eyes that kept watch on him, the gigantic body that coiled in the air, as if dancing in tune with the light wind that breathed through the field.
