A harpy wand is any wand that has a harpy hair, small feather, or sliver of talon in its core.
Harpies
Harpy
Harpies (Harpius aquilae) are monstrous beings with the head, neck, and chest of a woman and the body, wings, tail, and legs of a giant eagle. While a few have the face of a beautiful woman, most harpies have the face of an old hag. They are loathsome, filthy, and horribly foul smelling beings. They are greedy and steal from people, especially food for they are insatiably hungry gluttons.
Harpies migrated through the Lonely Chasm portal from the Blood Mountains of Faerie to Mount Korab in Macedonia and from there into the mountains of Albania, Greece, and Bulgaria. Most have either been killed or banished back to Faerie and are now only rarely spotted in the most inaccessible mountains.
Magical Properties and Uses
The makers of harpy wands have three choices for the core: a small harpy feather, one or more harpy hairs, or a sliver of a harpy talon.
