With a burst of water and warp in space, Zeel and David collapsed sliding across a bar floor into the counter at the front.
Two loud thumps can be heard before the bar went silent briefly, everyone in the bar was appalled at two people appearing out of seemingly thin air.
People on the bar were about to regain their wits, and some even attempted to go and help the two collapsed strangers near the counter.
But alas nobody made it close to Zeel and David as their body froze up the next moment.
An overwhelming sense of dread encompassed everyone, not only in the bar but throughout the town.
The ground began to shake, the bottles of liquor breaking, the water evaporating, Zeel had woken up and rationalized what had happened previously.
He was beginning to experience anger once more, first, it was love, then fear, and now the most potent emotion – anger.
A white flame was beginning to materialize on Zeel's body, but this time the white had a small tint of grey mixed in.
Everyone thought it was an earthquake, and due to the water vaporizing, nobody could make out the two strangers who collapsed near the counter.
Soon, red kinetic energy could also be seen flickering on Zeel's skin, as all tech in the area were fried immediately.
Just as Zeel was about to explode, a guy rushed over to both him and David, grabbing and hugging them close to himself.
With a 'twerp' sound, everything once again returned to tranquillity with three people less in the bar.
*Boom*
*Boom*
In the snowy Hills of Mount Everest.
Zeel then let go of all his suppressed anger, ice spikes began shooting up from below the ground, avalanches were generated, everything was frozen due to loss of the kinetic energy in the area.
A large chunk of mount Everest collapsed that day without anyone's knowledge.
The entire forested-over land for miles was decimated, with only one man... no, beast, standing above it all.
Zeel quickly forced his emotions to stabilize because the Draconic-Energy was threatening to take over his mind.
Draconic-Energy could convert all energies into more Draconic-Energy, which also meant that anyone infected would slowly become a Dragon.
Luckily, Zeel's superior Homo-Superior biology suppressed the Draconic-Energy enough to forego most of the effects aside from mild transformation and absurd aggressiveness.
Looking around, Zeel could see David and a guy in the distance, looking at him in abject horror. They looked as if they were about to flee, but Alice and Elizabeth teleported near Zeel and acted immediately to neutralize the two with shocks of electric current, and telekinetic grip.
Alice then looked towards Zeel with complicated emotions swirling within the depths of her mind.
Zeel, however, merely continued staring off into the distance trying to calm the aggressiveness in his mind.
He was also focusing his healing factor in the wound Alice created. It slowed his regeneration to the point of normalcy.
Alice should not have been able to use any abilities as yet, but it seemed that she could still be a danger to him with her soul burning flames – his skin still felt as if it was sizzling still.
Burns sustained from Alice would make him heal like a regular human unless he stayed in a stasis pod for a day or two.
*Whoop*
Zeel, Alice, and Elizabeth appeared on their private island once more. The island had moved from the Pacific Ocean and now resided in the Indian Oceans.
The island moved using frequency teleportation once every couple of days, and it was large enough to accommodate up to 5,000 people easily.
Elizabeth used the wind to drag along David and the next jumper they captured - Griffin.
Twenty minutes later, the trio were seated in the conference room, reviewing what they found from the scans conducted on Griffin and David.
Nobody mentioned the incident of Alice attacking Zeel. Elizabeth was too scared to bring it up, while Alice kept her distance from Zeel.
Despite feeling guilty, Alice also had the overwhelming need to punish Zeel.
"So they're vulnerable to electric shocks and certain frequencies?" Zeel asked Alice for confirmation, this was a common occurrence since he was taught to always get a second opinion on every task completed.
"Yeah as far as we can tell, and their bodies seem to generate quantum flux fields with near-impossible probability-electron-concentration, and then use quantum entanglement as a form of a breach for the spatial barrier, as for what allows them to traverse the created wormhole without a peak human physique, that is a mystery to us," Alice replied in a business-like manner since her emotions were all over the place at the moment being near Zeel.
Fortunately, Zeel had temporarily overlooked the matter of her spontaneous outburst, but Alice was sure that a day would come for a reckoning.
However, Alice could not understand why she wanted to punish Zeel so badly.
His sins felt very heavy, almost as if he had killed more than a single planet in the Lorien Universe.
Alice often thought about the magnitude of Zeel's sin but dismissed the idea because she simply did not want to know.
"So why don't we just gut them open and take a look for ourselves?" Elizabeth said a bit bored and in desperate need of entertainment.
These guys were not angels by any stretch since they stole from all over the world.
"Because we need more of them, they act as a key to Herme's Dimension. And they need a home, we can offer them that in Herme's dimension if all goes well. That way they won't have to worry about being hunted by humans, and we get what we want as well," Zeel said explaining tiredly why they don't just kill them, something he had thought about long before her – cloning and killing.
"Yeah, and now that we calibrated the satellite to their readings, using Griffin and David as the foundation," Alice said as she projected the satellite images onto the table "As you can see they're thousands of them all over the world, those areas where you see high concentrations are government labs. The highest concentration being in Athens, near Anafiotika,"
"The Parthenon, huh?" Elizabeth asked a bit intrigued by the goddess considered the most beautiful and whoring amongst the Greek pantheon "I'm game,"
"We'll check it out after we talk to the two of them, bring them to me. Besides with any luck, we won't actually need to go there. Also, never make an assumption of anything based on human history," Zeel said as he looked towards Alice who walked to the nearby sleeping duo jumpers.
*Slap*
*Slap*
With two slaps, the duo were startled awake and attempted to jump but couldn't since they were on an island with an isolation barrier made from Loric runes.
Disappearing from his spot, Zeel reappeared next to Griffin and David, placing one hand on each of their heads respectively.
"Griffin, age 26, parents both dead. His own fault for playing around with jumping, killed by the Roland guy we killed earlier," Zeel said as he viewed Griffin's memories and also showed Griffin some of his own, then he continued "David Rice, abusive father, mother abandoned when he was 5-years-old, ran away from home after discovering his abilities and has been robbing banks ever since. This guy understands luxury though if that is any constellation,"
"Is he more luxurious than my twin cycles?" Elizabeth asked a bit disgruntled since Zeel never complimented her luxurious tendencies.
Griffin broke out of his trance first and asked "So you guys are aliens who came to access some dimension of a really old god and need our help as jumpers?"
"Yeah basically," Zeel nodded since the memories imparted to allies would never involve Multiversal travels.
"Bullock's mate, even if I believe you, we aren't no descendant of gods, we are rats running for our lives every single day. Where were the gods when my moms and pops were gutted like fishes," Griffin started to yell in a hysterical way causing Alice's face to slightly grimace.
While Zeel could block out the prayer and empathy that came along with godhood, if the intentions were strong enough, they could still be felt regardless.
"Settle down, wake the other one and we'll explain what we know," Zeel grunted in an almost beastly voice, as his anger at Alice's unintentional betrayal still weighed heavily on his mind.
Zeel, who had managed to cease the progress of the Draconic Energy in his body, still had a tendency to act a bit animalistic when angered.
The Draconic Energy had been isolated, but the changes left behind were permanent – slitted eyes and lack of patience for disrespect.
Another chapter... bleh...
Turns out, I registered late for one of my classes because I was uploading too much...
I am not sure if I will get into the class to finish my degree, but at least it saves me some money.... but...
This won't feed me either so I'll have to prioritize my time better in the future.
Luckily, I hate starting things I don't finish so I'll try to keep my uploads constant for this novel.
Thanks,
