Outside the carriage.

Gu Yan looked back and forth from the carriage to the people still standing in front of the wide entrance of the Qu residence, waiting for the engaged couple to come out of it.

"Gu Yan, what's wrong? Why hasn't the Duke stepped out of the carriage?" And elder man asked, he was holding a cane in his hand. His wise eyes looked at the door of the carriage and frown.

"That…" Gu Yan paused to think of a lie for his master and said, "Master is busy looking at some reports and said to not disturb him."
