Two weeks after the Unas incident and a week after I returned from removing the nightmares from the people of that planet SG-1 and Buffy found an ancient ziggurat. The Russians insisted they send a team with SG-1 and several hours later I was called on as shit hi the fan.
A creature with a poisonous bite was running around with a goa'uld named Marduk inside it. When the female Russian had been bit Sam called me as Buffy couldn't figure out a spell that would heal her. I simply pushed the poison out of her body while healing and replenishing her blood. A sort of healing plus bloodletting.
The Russians watched me work while I got annoyed with their eyes on me so I lit up mage lights and sent them throughout the temple. The place was as bright as day now as they turned off their lights.
I turned to Jack. "By all means go kill the creature and goa'uld. This room has a set of transporter rings that takes you outside. When you're done having fun you can gather the bodies and leave whenever you like."
I waved a hand and the sand covering the transporter cleared off. Daniel was busy reading the glyphs now that he could see properly. So far only one Russian soldier died. The female I sent back to the SGC with a note that said.
(Bed rest and see the doctor. Bitten by alien creature with poisonous venom. Cured but her bodies all tuckered out. ~Osiris~)
I turned and read the Russians minds and summons the goa'uld hand device with the eye of Tiamat. I tossed the device to Sam saying. "It's old but it works. Use it or toss it."
She put it on and tried the personal shield before tossing it to Jack. "You should be able to use it. He gave you the same markers that allow you to feel goa'uld. It's like imagining what you want to happen and willing it so. The device will do the rest. I already have my ring so I'm safe as is Teal'c and Buffy from being possessed."
Jack put it on and a personal shield popped into place. "Huh, well, let's go hunting then. Daniel, you stay here with Vallarin and Osiris. Carter, you take Buffy while I take Teal'c and Colonel Zukhov. We have a snake to kill."
The Russian colonel looked to the eye of Tiamat in my hand and I raised a finger and shook it. "I don't care about your secret orders. You're not bringing this to earth. It's far too dangerous and nothing you could even use."
Sam frowned. "What is it?"
I smiled. "It's a trinket Ra made with the Ancient technology he ripped off over the years he was ruling the system lords. It's one part of a much bigger hole. Find all the pieces and you can use it with the right amount of energy, to blow up a planet. A Death Star sort of laser beam if we go by Daniel's thoughts. No, I won't be giving it to the Americans either. The eyes of the gods would attract all the focus of the system lords as they scrambled to blow earth to hell regardless of who protects it. Far to powerful for any single government or world to posses."
I put it where I'd summoned the goa'uld hand device from with a thought. The Russians looked torn up until I told them. "You'd have to know where and how to retrieve the others for it to be of any use anyway. Besides, until Sam finishes upgrading the naquadah generators, you won't have a sufficient power source either way. Even then you'd be sitting ducks after one shot."
I sat down on the sarcophagus and watched them grinned their teeth before splitting up to hunt and kill the goa'uld. It didn't take long with everywhere lit up. They gunned down the creature and Jack hit it with a blast from the goa'uld glove, killing it.
When the ringed out I collapsed the entire temple in on itself. Daniel was a bit sad as he wanted to take a team back and study the ruins but after it collapsed I shrugged. "Marduk was a dick and it fits that he'd be buried in the place of his greatest loss."
Sam and Buffy knew the truth though, that I'd buried it to hide the eye. The russian General was a bit pissed when the colonel reported the death of one of the team and my lack of handing over the eye.
I of course told him. "If you're cranky go spank one off. You mortals seem to be uppity over things you shouldn't be playing with any way. If the eye was revealed the system lords would gather their full fleet to destroy you and I would sit back and laugh as you'd deserve it. Ra only ever had the balls to make it. He knew better than to use it as that kind of power invites challenge."
The generals had a few words of their own to say ending with me telling them that earth wasn't ready for that kind of power and to foolishly invite it was suicide.
I ended with. "The system lords don't know where each of the eyes are. If you go around experimenting on it they'll immediately know the cause as they have sensors fine tuned to the eyes frequencies. So long as they're dormant they're of no threat and while hidden they can't be used against you. Let sleeping dragons lay for your own good."
Hammond agreed easily enough as he knew I meant what I said. No goa'uld system lord from the old days would let such powerful weapons go astray without just cause. They knew it could be used against them and so long as they had one piece they were safe. That didn't mean they didn't look, they just never found them and thought most to have been destroyed.
A week after the russian General stormed off pissed the team, with Faith, ran into a race that was once friends of the Ashen and was housing the rest of the survivors from the massacre. When they came back and I heard the name along with Sam mentioning what they refer to as a giant animal monster wiping out their people.
All of my wives turned to face me and I shrugged. "The Ashen were a race that befriended worlds of people and promised to cure all disease including doubling the lifespan of those people and giving advanced alien technologies to them."
Jack sighed. "That sounds like a good thing to me."
I chuckled. "Then you'll be happy their nearly wiped out because those same cures sterilized the planets population so that they could swoop in a couple hundred years later and turn the now nearly uninhabited planets into farm land. What they did to their current hosts. They've wiped out billions of lives and several civilizations."
"They are in fact, worse than the goa'uld and even the replicators the Asgard currently face. So when I was feeling peckish and needed to let out my more animal side, I took a stroll to their home worlds and wiped them out before they could try doing the same to earth. In fact I went so far as to take their stargates from the planets and turn the planets themselves into naquadah."
They were all speechless until Daniel asked. "What about the children? They must've had them, I mean surely they didn't sterilize themselves or did you kill them as well?"
I shook my head. "I'd never kill a child unless it was truly soulless or evil. I'm a parent myself after all. No, I had the children adopted by the people of my worlds. They can later choose to grow up good or not, either way I don't particularly care. There were a little over a hundred million kids I took in four years ago now."
"They've learned and grown passed their peoples mistakes and while a few hate me still or fear me at least, I can't be bothered with them. They have their freedom and live their own lives. As for the survivors that managed to flee their home world, well, I wouldn't suggest you welcome them with open arms. They tend to stab first and toss bioweapons next that target species."
General Hammond saw I wouldn't budge on the issue any further and ordered the address locked out of the system's dialing sequence. I added the other worlds the surviving Ashen have access to.
He asked about the surviving Vollan people on that planet and I told him honestly. "They're a lost cause. They're most likely sterile by now as well and the other side effects probably stunted any growth of their ability for higher learning. The perfect farmers for their crops as it were."
He was down right sick about what they'd done to the Vollans but it was out of his hands as it were. I skipped off and slaughtered the last of the Ashen before blessing the Vollans with fertility and removing the vaccines effects on them.
They'd been cured and in a few hundred generations they'd have a decent enough population and learning ability with the technology I left them. I did however bring back teleporters for Sam to reverse engineer at her request.
Added with one of the crop collectors the scientists of earth were plenty happy. General Hammond even thanked me. The girls just rolled their eyes and accepted they couldn't change my views when it came to their safety. They'd chosen to stay on earth and have adventures so I removed unnecessary threats wherever possible.
Jack got an interesting assignment a few weeks later as his old friend, the alien he'd found with the pod when Sam had started the alien treasure hunt on earth, was back and making waves. The other refugees had drugged and brainwashed him so Jack went to get him clean and stop them from causing trouble.
They eventually left in their mother ship and left the alien they'd brainwashed behind as a very successful show producer. The SGC used it as a cover for if anyone ever found out. They'd be labeled crazy or avid fans and conspiracy theorists.
The next two months were peaceful training drills for both the SGC candidates and my own Jaffa army. They even participated in the foothold scenarios. I had to carefully watch and monitor the situations at all times to ensure my people didn't eat or kill the rookies.
In return they learned tactics and drills from the SGC personnel. They were proficient before but after the two months of training they went back nearly masters of war. I'd hammered their minds with tactics and martial arts from all over the world including weapons training.
They went back with orders to train the rest and as Bra'tac was amongst the first trained I knew it would all stick. He was determined to prefect all forms of combat and with his now young and super strong body and mind he was exceeding everyone else by far. I'd ordered projectile and energy fusion weapons to be made by the replicators there as they were only stockpiling satellites weapons platforms and potentia.
They had little else to do and improving my army's weapons was a fair bit better than doing nothing I needed done immediately. They also had orders to make energy swords and shock staffs to be carried for close combat by all of my soldiers.
That added to the improved goa'uld grenades that imploded after knocking out all its victims was more than enough. With their weapons, so to came the improved armor made of the same light weight trinium/carbon alloy that the war ship's hulls were made from.
A week after the training completed and those that passed were sent on their first missions, Teal'c and SG-1 got ambushed by a minor goa'uld setting up a base on the planet they were checking out. Said goa'uld chased and crashed the Al'kesh, a mid range bombing ship, into the stargate cutting off the wormhole mid transfer and trapping Teal'c in the earth's stargate buffer.
Sam has to pull out one of the extra DHD's and sacrifice it to bring him back by forming an event horizon without establishing a wormhole. Without the main control crystal to buffer the power spike caused by the feed back loop the DHD exploded. Luckily she was able to get Teal'c out though as any wormhole that would've connected would also have effectively erased his energy signature and killed him.
She commented afterwards about turning the main controls they used into a more advanced DHD like the city ships have. I shrugged and told her. "That's up to your discretion. Just remember that I have path of technological advancement for earth to follow."
She agreed and got to work after putting away the now destroyed DHD. While she worked, I was called away on more urgent matters. My territory had been raided by stargate and several of my patrol ships had been attacked.
Those on the planets fought to the last man rather than become slaves yet again. There Jaffa there as well as regular humans that had all been killed. None of my special soldiers had been there but then by the time I saw the battlefield, the troops had left back through the gate, going so far as to destroy those on their side that died by Zat gun fire to disintegrate the bodies and evidence.
Even as I healed and brought those back of my people I could still sense the amount of death that had occurred there. Seeing as none of the goa'uld system lords could actual set it up I assumed it to be Anubis as he's the only one that could see and circumvent my wards as an ascended, no matter how partially.
I ordered them to pack up and move to my inner territory while warning the Tok'ra as I had all my people all over do the same. The Tok'ra were next to be hit and asked for my aid. Egeria pleaded in the name of our spawn. I acted and sent them all to a planet in the farthest reaches of my domain, away from the system lords territories.
Anubis would have to risk all out war with me and I know for a fact that he's both unaware of what I am and thinks me to be the old Osiris with some of the technology that Ra was hiding. I removed the cloaks and seeds on all my outer worlds as I consumed the seeds. Nearly three hundred magic seeds added to the one hundred I already had.
I kept a dozen in my ring for the girls and tightened the leash on my territory as all my ships cloaked both technologically and magically. They were in full force as the ships used to distract them were wiped out. At nearly a dozen it was an impressive distraction but no match for the now seventy ships.
All my super Jaffa, aka the wolves and vamps hosting my spawn, were deployed and on full alert. The rest of the regular werewolves and vampires were called to duty for blood orgies and pack hunts. They were then stationed on each of my inner planets to defend against invasions by stargate.
Artillery weapons and heavily modified weapons surrounded each stargate on all two hundred worlds. The last of my focus was on healing the Tok'ra and not being seen by Anubis doing so. Egeria thanked me in prayer and had her Tok'ra dig deep with tunneling crystals while I hardened the planet against a bomber assault after their tunnels were in place.
The ground became as hard as my starships hulls by the foot. I had the stargate fitted with an iris and moved to their tunnels with the DHD with a few information relays to Egeria. She immediately had it put into action with a little behind the scenes help from me.
I lay on my throne in Chulak anticipating Anubis's next move as if it were a game of chess. All my hidden and cloaked satellites had been retrieved from around my outer worlds while my full fleet patrolled it all. The city ships were all tucked away in my ring with all the potentia.
All that Anubis could do now would be to try attacking directly or attempt to flank my fleet. For two months assaults and retreats were performed on my territory. Elsewhere other goauld suffered similarly while actually taking casualties.
Finally the rest of the system lords got tired of it as well and we all agreed to call a meeting to figure out who was responsible. The Tok'ra got word and wanted to act to take out the system lords. I didn't comment when Egeria asked my opinion through prayer only telling her not to expose herself to the system lords in my territory.
They made a plan and asked for my assistance. I suggested Daniel go as Yu's lo'taur with some chemical help as Yu actually knows what he looks like. They took it from there and a week later Illyria and I arrived at the safe station for the meeting.
I paced and growled at nearly everyone as I was both frustrated and anticipating the next move of Anubis. The others took it to mean I'd suffered heavy losses and was pissed. When the meeting was about to start, Daniel and Yu arrived. They paced the room while I listened.
"Note them Jarren. My future allies."
Daniel pretending to be his lo'taur Jarren spoke. "Artemis, Ares. These to waited until both Cronus and Camulus were weakened from their own battles and struck, killing Camulus while Cronus was never heard from again. It is said Artemis does not like him but uses him as a resource. Ares however was said to have allied with Cronus but failed to come to his aid, favoring watching from the side as Cronus and Camulus fought, waiting to strike himself."
Yu nodded. "You' have a good memory.. They are still worthy of my allegiance. Do not accept gifts from Ba'al."
Daniel followed up. "They have a habit of exploding. Especially when he feels he has been slighted. He wiped out the inhabitants of two star systems. Sixty million lives, rather than loose them to Sokar in a territorial dispute."
Yu sneered. "Poor loser. Do not consort with Morrigan's servant."
Daniel proceeded. "He will attempt to draw out strategic information in seemingly idol conversation. I know your last servant unwittingly gave away the location of one of your secret bases on Valon. To his credit he was killed in the surprise attack. It is what has given me the honor to serve you my lord."
Next was me whom they turned to as they circled the room. Yu spoke again. "Do not anger Osiris."
Daniel let out a small smirk before saying. "It is said that rather than suffer defeat by Sokar's hands he lead an assault on him over a petty dispute. That day the inhabitants of half the star system saw unending explosions from the battle as Osiris managed to wipe out a fleet of uncountable ships. It is said that if Ba'al, Cronus and you my lord, had not been there he would not have suffered as much of a major loss as he protects those at his side. It is one of the reasons the others seek him out for alliances yet he has only ever sought out one and that is with you my lord."
Yu nodded giving me an appreciative nod while saying. "Olokun is still seething to a recent loss to my forces and may try to kill you out of spite. Do not make me look foolish by allowing yourself to be murdered."
Daniel bowed lightly. "Yes my lord."
They didn't comment on Amaterasu as she wasn't here yet. Yu and Ba'al greeted each other while I told Illyria. "I cannot be seen saving Daniel so you will act as interference should Olokun act against him."
She nodded and I sat stiffly while the others noticed my impatience. I turned my attention back to Yu and Ba'al who commented. "I am pleased you were able to join us given your recent events. I understand your fleet suffered some heavy losses."
Yu bit back. "I am not the only one. Did I not hear your new flag ship was destroyed?"
Ba'al seemed annoyed by the reminder. "I lost two thousand Jaffa."
Yu nodded. "Such is war."
Ba'al replies angrily. "No. This is different. This enemy attacks like a coward. Apparently Ares and Artemis have suffered similar setbacks. They are becoming more frequent while the identity of the antagonist continues to elude us."
Yu replies evenly. "I'm certain you have your suspicions."
Ba'al brushes off the question. "We're all suffering at the hands of this unknown adversary. By shrouding himself he sows discord amongst."
I growled loudly and they looked my way as my voice matched theirs. "Amaterasu is not here. If she is the one behind it-"
Morrigan spoke up out of turn. "She cannot be here as her forces have joined with mine. Our union was necessary as to avoid the onslaught of those that attacked us. She no longer had the strength or position to be amongst us."
I snorted. "Then who are we waiting for?"
She shrugged and the announcer replied. "They wished it to be a surprise my lords and ladies. As per their request and the rules of this station enforced by each of you I cannot say. I am truly sorry my lords."
I snorted and headed to my quarters while they broke broke apart to take a break and wait. Illyria stayed in place watching them all like a statue. In her own way she unnerved them nearly as much as my own presence did.
When I felt the next ship approach I headed back to the meeting room to hear them bickering over whom would dare attack us like this. Morrigan accused Olokun while Artemis accuses me until she saw me and swallowed her tongue.
I growled. "I've lost nearly four hundred worlds across various star systems as they've been wiped clean. Each time my followers died down to the last Jaffa. And at every instance this foe has his own people destroyed rather than reveal themselves. My ships have wiped out a fleet the likes of which only Sokar was in possession over the course of these passed few months and still they retreat into hyperspace or cloak and flee rather than reveal whom they serve!"
My rant surprised them all at the seriousness of my losses. While it was true, I revived them each time while I watched the survivors of those that fled clean the field of their own dead.
The other system lords were both mystified as to why it happened that way until I snorted. "I've rebuilt my full fleet and while this new foe knows they cannot win by taking on my ships, they distract them while their ground forces attack my worlds. I have lost two thirds of my worlds and even more Jaffa and slaves still."
Each of the system lords combined had not suffered such losses. They were truly apprehensive of the foe that could do so to me and remain in the shadows. That is until a final visitor arrived and the human announcer said. "Hades, lord of the underworld-"
He got no more out as I broke his neck. I growled. "I am the lord of the underworld you mewling filth."
The other system lords looked amused at my outburst and action as they expected nothing less while I stared down the newcomer. He had a very evil sultan look to him with a mustache and soul patch that made me think that if Tony Stark had went evil and had a child with Jafar from Aladdin this would be the result.
He smiled easily enough before saying. "How very common of you."
Growling I took a step towards him while my eyes glowed like a goa'uld's. He shook his head. "Ah ah ah. I'm just a messenger here at my lords request. By your own laws you can no more harm me than declare war on the rest of the system lords combined."
The others bristled by his words and for a second I made them think I didn't care until Ba'al spoke up. "Then speak and be gone with you."
He sighed. "I am here to ask for a place on this council in my lords stead. He wishes to rejoin you after so long."
Yu sneered. "Whom do you serve?"
Hades smirked. "Anubis."
Cries rang out of 'impossible' and 'he's dead'. Yu finally bit out. "He was banished, never to be allowed to return."
Hades walked around me while smiling while I thought on the goa'uld Osiris's relationship with Anubis. I snorted and went back to my throne and said. "What is it that he offers us in return for his return as system lord?"
Yu gave me a foul look but I ignored it while Hades smiled. "He has taken in a great view of the galaxy as a whole and the system lords empire in the midst of it all."
He gave Artemis as look. "From Jaffa rebellions you've been unable to put down-"
He looked to Yu next. "To the Tau'ri who've managed to kill Cronus. As a whole the goa'uld empire is being seen as weak. Even the greatest threat, those from within our ranks bodes ill for us. He has taken it upon himself to deal with each of these in turn. As we speak his right hand is dealing a major blow to the Tok'ra."
He looked to Ba'al now. "And should you agree to accept him amongst you himself, he is willing to risk the wrath of the Asgard in wiping out the Tau'ri before he rises to the rank of system lord once more."
I snorted. "Neither problems have caused me nearly as much damage as he's caused over these past few months! Give me a reason not to kill you now and risk the ire of my brethren as I make my own way towards his fleets and deal a blow he won't soon forget!"
Hades looked me over and sighed. "Anubis owes the system lords nothing for what they've done to him, but he is willing to forgive their slights. However, he does admit to owing you something. He said to tell you it was Ba'al that betrayed you with Set's help, to Ra."
My eyes glowed as I turned in anger to Ba'al who sneered. "He lies! If Ra has not hidden you away amongst his possessions with Isis I would have long since found and brought you out."
I turned back to Hades who shrugged. "Anubis said he'd swear it on Isis's name. In return for this information he wishes for your vote to become a system lord once more."
I growled. "Granted."
I gave Ba'al a look that had him paling while Olokun, Morrigan, Artemis and Ares agreed as well instantly. Yu hesitates but shook his head saying to me. "I am sorry old friend, but I cannot support this decision."
I turned to Ba'al who was sweating before saying. "It need not be unanimous."
I turned to Hades. "Tell your master his request is granted. When he reveals himself he will be counted amongst the system lords ranks and warn him that should these attacks continue, it won't matter if he is a system lord. We will all ban together to end him. I've lost too much for a mere apology to last for any more."
Hades nodded before saying. "Then let us feast." In goa'uld.
The tank of goa'uld was ringed in and we all stood, the Ba'al farthest away from me as we each grabbed a goa'uld and ate it. A while later Daniel disappeared while I heard from Egeria in a prayer saying the planet was being bombarded. She mentioned the star about to go supernova.
I sent them all to the planet the Jaffa rebellion officially stared on along with the stargate and all their things. I felt the ships in orbit around the star trying to get it to explode. With a thought, and a lot of power, I gave them their wish a little earlier than they wanted it.
The fleet of ships belonging to Anubis was destroyed in the blast that wiped out the solar system. Though I could care less I still popped over after the blast and gathered all thier souls before crushing them into essence and purifying it before storing it in a special container much like the orb the power that was used to hide Angel's soul in.
I stored it in my ring for later and teleported back to the meeting place. I was the first system lord to officially leave while the others made their back room deals and alliances. I paid close attention to my worlds while my fleet destroyed several of Ba'al's outposts.
The Jaffa were shown an image of their god sweating in fear and they too joined the rebel cause. half of Ba'al's fleet was lost to him before he called a truce and swore to never again attempt to betray me. Adding insult to injury, I demanded another five of his Hatak with accompanying Jaffa.
It was easy enough to remove the self destruct device and secret bombs, leaving them on a major mining planet of his, taking it out long after I was gone with the now freed Jaffa. They took the ships and added the fleet to the rebel Jaffa when I mentioned their location after making sure they were all truly free Jaffa.
They took of and like always I sealed their memories of me. I spread word to the other system lords that Ba'al's Jaffa had betrayed me and fled with the ships after seeing the horrors of my worlds.
Ba'al was a bit smug until they never returned and since I'd taken out the homing beacons and the recall beacons, he could no longer find them. And as such the rebel Jaffa were now ten hatak ships strong.
I cloaked myself as my territory returned to it's normal yet heightened state of awareness. The last thirty cloaked ships is had secretly made were ghosting the territory with the rest now. After I was cloaked from all eyes above and below using enochian tattoos, I teleported to earth once more.
I did the same to all my wives and fiancé. When they, the outside of the compound and house were covered in enochian script I relaxed some. Lexi and Alice had retained their tattoos but the rest had needed to get them though painlessly and through magic.
I loved a tattooed woman as both Faith, Lexi and Alice would attest to. When Buffy and Sam got theirs they received some special attention for a while.
