Chapter 49: Potion's Tutor

"That's a real stretch in that theory" Skye commented as he bit his lip.

"If hypothetically that had been the case, where would he put them?" the pair went silent.

"What is a truth is a lie?

What is a lie is a truth?

Which is the honest you?"

"If I didn't want something to be known, I would have hid it in plain sight but in a place that would not be obvious to others" Anberine said softly.

Her mind continued to maul on his words causing her not to see his reaction.

Blinking she looked at Skye who's eyes had widened.

"It should be in the library but something must be hiding it" Anberine commented as she pushed some hair from her face.

"One way to find out" Skye shrugged after regaining his composure.

"You want to go there?" Anberine asked with a surprised expression, her hand stopped stirring causing Skye to react.

"Stirring?" Skye pointed snapping Anberine out of her daze.

"Why not? If anything, if it can help with the situation then why not? Besides having me grounded what else can he do to me?"

"Expel you, dethrone you and put me in prison for plotting against the king. Then at the worst execute me to set an example to those who have any ideas about trying to plot against him" Anberine said dryly as she eyed a semi pale-faced Skye who cleared his throat deeply.

"Y-Yeah there's that but who's to say we will get caught?" Anberine gave him a bland look.

"Why not ask your friends to... assist?" Skye forced out the last word weakly, despite the fact he hated asking for help from anyone.

"If they agree" Anberine said bluntly.

"One way to find out" Skye said before pointing to the book.

"Almost done" Anberine said before adding yellow grass to the brew.

Meanwhile Skye's mind remained focused on finding out about what secrets were in the library.

There had to be some answers as to why things have been happening, what was his father up and why did he conceal such vital information?

"You know, I'm surprised that you're behaving this way" Anberine commented as she finished stirring the cauldron.

"Oh?" Skye tilted his head as he looked at her.

"You're very docile and being very calm enough to have a decent conversation with. Last time I checked, you hated my guts and made it clear that I'd be the last person you wanted to be nice with" Anberine commented as his face went red, clearing his throat a few times Skye flushed from the comment to his surprise.

"W-Well, consider this an epiphany" Anberine raised a brow from his choice of words.

"Big words from a guy who hates studying" Anberine commented dryly as she sealed up the last bottle.

"L-Let's just give this to your friend, she does need this right?" Skye stammered from the comment while eyeing his cauldron.

Once satisfied that the bottles and vials were sealed up tightly to prevent leakage he soon tried to clean his cauldron only to his embarrassment.

It didn't clean.

Anberine raising a brow almost smirked as she waved her hand, this in turn caused both cauldrons to become empty within minutes.

"Still don't know how you did that" he muttered as he hid his red face.

A semi smug smile formed on her face.

"I learnt it last year, our teacher told us how to do it. Then again you probably weren't paying attention as usual" Anberine commented causing Skye to glare at her lightly as soon as he picked up her mocking tone.

"Sh-shut up!" Skye said as he finished packing his bag, once done he waited for Anberine to finish and grabbed the basket.

"Still haven't finished" he gestured to the contents.

"I'll eat it later, right now we have class" Anberine said before walking briskly to Magic class.

Not wanting to be late Skye followed her but was mindful of the space between them.

'(Not so bad being with her huh?)' the voice mocked to Skye's annoyance.

'Do shut up' Skye muttered darkly as the voice laughed in his head.

Words could not describe what Helga was feeling as she stared at not only one but two bottles of medicine.

The shocking part for her was that not only Anberine her friend had handed her medicine, but Prince Skye had offered her medicine as well despite the fact he hardly cared about anyone.

Was this some sort of trick?

Eyeing the bottles weakly she saw Skye grow impatient despite the faint pink forming on his cheeks.

"J-Just take them, you need them right?" Skye said in a semi-cold tone as Anberine flashed him a vexed look for being insensitive.

"B-But why did you?"

"You said your mother was ill, plus it will help the others in the Dark Realm who are having problems... so just take it before anyone else finds out" Skye said as he placed the bottles in Helga's startled hands.

Looking down at the greeny blue bottles Helga's eyes started to sting, her throat soon started to feel uncomfortable as tears formed in her eyes.

"Thank you, thank you so much Anberine" Helga started to sob as Anberine hugged her crying friend.

Skye as he watched weakly looked away feeling uncomfortable about the whole situation.

"How did you get involved?" Mordred asked with a curious glint as he eyed Skye carefully, seeing this Skye pinched the side of his mouth.

"I have a potion's tutor, so of course I asked to make it" Skye replied as he looked away feeling uncomfortable from the looks he was given.

"You asked to make a very complicated but advanced medicine?" Mordred challenged as he folded his arms.

"Look does it looks like I want to take extra classes? Besides, it's suppose to be useful right?" Skye asked feeling more uncomfortable from the looks.
