Chapter 12: Chapter 12 Sorcerers vs my summon, sneaky bastard?

The sight that welcomed the sorcerers of Avalon was an Archfiend drenched in blood while holding something that looked like burnt meat, but the possessions of the one it was holding laid scatter across its feet.

the Sorcerers all had grim looks upon noticing this as they believed that this monster had devoured a fellow sorcerer, the leader wore a raiment called the spellcaster the hood looked as if it was some kind of gas mask with large braids that covered the shoulders and chest, with the right arm warp in thick cloth that made the arm look bigger than it actually was, with the tunic and pants made of leather and chain links, there were two shrunken heads connected to the belt, and four spikes behind the right knee.

this was something the leader was proud of as he was given this as a gift from one of the sub-leaders that boosted his spells by 50% and additional elemental defenses by 15% just by wearing it even if it looked atrocious it was better than the noble raiment in terms of boosts which is something the other sorcerers that he was leading were wearing, then again whenever he wasn't looking his followers were struggling not to laugh at how silly he looked.

But enough about how some of the raiments in the soul sacrifice world are normal or dazzling or even in this case downright ugh as you can really wonder would you wear something like that?

other than for the bonuses that is.

the leader relayed his commands as he prepared a throwing spell of a hail of fire arrows.

"spread out into groups of five and wear it down from afar shielders prepare for the beast's retaliation! I want this archfiend's head hung on my wall by the morning!"

Their target looked at them like they were idiots as thanks to devouring the bodies of the lizardmen in gained a boost in power and there was an even bigger idiot that decided to use an element that its sibling uses that won't be able to tickle it much less hurt it thanks to the built-up resistance it gained from sparring against its sibling.

(A/N offering ranks bronze, silver, gold, and lastly diamond. requires 10x the amount of usage to bring forth that damage output of 1 rank higher in one usage and if it was two ranks higher don't bother because you can't do squat! the ranking corresponds with the Archfiend power archfiends are said to reach the maximum of gold while greater archfiends and gods are said to be diamond where truthfully all the summons and transformations of Cu Chulainn are almost diamond thanks to his overall magic meaning that silver will barely tickle, gold can bring some damage and diamond ranked offerings can kill them if it hits that is.)

the sadder thing was these sorcerers were using silver ranked offerings for spells against the Abyssal fiend that is why it was looking at them like they were idiots then again it was because of the shared memories it gained from Cu.

The summon not only gained some of his knowledge but some of his quirks as well!

it didn't bother blocking the incoming spells as they were too slow so it simply dodged them with the minimal effort while approaching the closest group that consisted of frost-based spell users, the reaction the sorcerers had upon seeing it getting closer commendable as they huddled up and all of them used their frost armor spell and one of the braver ones summoned a large frost shield that was have the size of the nearing fiend.

It showed a battle-hungry smile as there was someone that could possibly give it a light warm-up so it rotated its right arm that made a crackling sound, the group before them was too weak thus it was unable to enjoy a good fight.

Its arm was encased in lightning before it wanted to see how long these guys would last they have more magic than the lizardmen so hopefully, they won't die...too quickly.

the lightning that covered the fiend's arm shot up into the sky creating a pillar of light that struck the dark clouds that were waiting, the dark clouds quickly turned blue as massive amounts of the volt element were ignited as a thunderclap followed before a bunch of blue circles were forming on the ground under the sorcerers this was the sign that only those of that had a certain amount of magic could see or even sense.

the people of Avalon began warning their comrades to avoid the blue circle which meant they passed the first test, the Summon was both happy and kind of sad about this, why? because it meant they would survive longer however they lacked the proper offering to give it a better challenge as for the second test was...how fast can they react?

the three groups gathered some good elements which were frost, poison, and fire, the latter is somewhat useless, frost users could die it one or two shots of these bolts of lightning, the blue circles were homing into the ones closest to it, the majority of them managed to avoid the circles through running, dodging or by blasting the ground, the two fools that thought simply levitating above the circles would help but the torrents of lightning coming from the ground and the sky proved them wrong!

the third was one was the frost shielder suffering the blast of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 blue circles as the man tried to complete his task even if it meant his death!

Three of their allies were charred the survivors howled in fury! they began cursing the archfiend full of promises of vengeance and brutal ends however what the response they received was three large breaths full of lightning that threatened to vaporize them!

The survivors huddled together to concentrate their resources together to become something akin to a mobile fortress until the Archfiend uses the blue circles again.

the two Shielders summoned two shields each trying to cover the ones behind them the frost spell users opted to use a different element lest they suffer more as these sorcerers quickly noticed that frost brings forth more damage upon themselves when facing this fiend.

but that also made them understand the main element that this fiend uses which meant there was two possible weaknesses poison which hasn't been able to hit or stone that of which the frost users switch their offerings to the leader provided them with a stone sword shard, and a stone egg but the large shadow that loomed over them made all of them look up.

The abyssal fiend attacked with its whole body like a cannonball as if to tease their mobile fortress quickly destroying the two shields and made them scatter the sorcerers readied their spells, but the leader yell out in delight!

"I GOT YOU!!!"

*CHIWK*

while it was on all fours preparing another blast a large earth spike impaled the abyssal fiend through the stomach!
