A new step towards the future, that's what we're creating. With this device one could teleport to different places within a second. The expression "I'll be there in a jiffy." will surely be no longer a fantasy. That's right, after working for this project almost all my life, finally! Tomorrow is the day that our efforts will pay off!
"Kaori-kun"
"Ah, Dr. Ishikawa. Is there something wrong?"
Dr. Ishikawa, a man whose been in this project from the very start along with my father. Sadly, my father can't see it's end.
"Tomorrow's the day" He smiled gently and sat by my side.
"So it seems." I grinned.
"Someone's excited" He then laughed.
"I know you've been looking forward to the completion of this device as much as I do but remember this Kaori-kun"
I looked at him and tilted my head.
"If tommorow's test will fail-"
"Don't worry it won't! I solved the probability of it failing about a hundred times. There's no way it'll fail."
He laughed and shook his head. His expression was unfathomable, I can't read it.
"Kaori-kun, a solving in the end will stay theoretical not until it's proven in reality. A lot of things could go wrong tommorow and that in itself is inevitable. Always remember that."
"….I will."
"Don't forget that you promised. Now, go back to your room young lady. We have a long day ahead of us so sleep now."
"Good night Dr." I smiled and walked away.
Eh? Where's my pen?!
"Dr.-"
I stopped and saw Dr. Ishikawa holding the pen my father gave me. Unlike earlier, his expression was that of sadness.
"I miss him too."
"Kaori-kun…it's been a while since I saw this…brings back memories." He then handed me the pen.
"Take good care of it."
"I will."
